My tv is an older model 60inch screen. I believe it is a hdtv lost the owners manual on one site it said the model number is on the remote. The number on the back of tv is worn away. How do I find the manual for mine as it stoped working last night

Emerson is not easy to get information or parts from--about the only hope I can offer is Google the model number with "manual" to see if it is available online or not.

Visit this site named 'Electro-help' These type of fault to plasma TVs are described in detail there. Almost all plasma TVs will have same structured circuits. You can find which board to your TV is faulty, by referring details from this site. Check this link, and select the site named above. Pull up older posts there.

you can order the origional remote at www.replacementremotes.com just enter your model number and it will list your remote. As far as the owners manual you can try www.retrevo.com they may have the owners manual.

Just because a TV has RGB component inputs does not mean
HI-Def will work......Component range = 480 to 720 to 1080....

I have found a couple of sites where you can download the owners manual for a fee of $9.99 but I have been unable to find a site where it is free. Hitachi web site does have several owner manuals but do not have the one for this tv. My owners manual is a photo copy of the original manual. I got mine by calling Hitachi (1-800-448-2244) shortly after purchasing the TV, it was a display model and did not come with one. I have just bought my second remote, first one when I got the owners manual and second one just a couple of weeks ago through sears parts. Once I get a scanner hooked up I will try to upload my manual to this site.
