The paper tray is full but I continually get the error message "No print paper. Set the print paper for the P size and press [PRINT]." I finally managed to get three photos printed but alas, the problem reappeared and I'm at my wits end. The printer is about a year old.
I have a terrific Sony dpp fp55 dye sublimation printer
that worked great until Sony decided not
to update the drivers for Windows 7. This is the second time I have had a Sony
product, the last was a laptop Vaio, and Sony stopped keeping up with drivers
for new operating systems.
I did make a work around. First I hammered the VAIO until it was flat and the
disk drive could not be used to gather any information. With the sony dpp fp55,
I did better. I used my desktop computer with Windows 7 professional to pass
all the photos that I wanted to print to a memory card on my Toshiba laptop.
That was easy. Then I moved the card to my sony dpp fp55 printer and printed my
photos from the memory card. Works fine. Not a big convenience. I also decided
to take that hammer to my thumb if I ever bought another Sony product with
their Sony Corporation plan of obsolescence, by not keeping up with drivers for
their products. I know they have the
ability but when you call, they just offer you a new printer. No way, baby.
I don't like their business philosophy or their hand in my pocket.
