How to ii get sound to work from comp to tv i used a vga cable connected it to tv and video card but cant get sound

Without knowing what computer you have and which TV for that matter and which inputs and outputs are on each of them, I can only give you very rudimentary instructions.

before you do anything make sure the sound on your computer is working with some kind of speaker connected directly to your computer.

For the next step your TV will need an input audio jack, either "auxilery Input" or "Microphone" should do. If neither of these are availible you may have to connect your computer to a stereo reciever in the same way.

Once you have located the connection points all you have to do is to connect a cable from the TV (or as mentioned a Stereo) to the computer. If you do not have a seperate sound card in your computer (don't worry if you don't, these have become for the general public obsolete) then the computer will have an auxilery output jack somewhere on the back or maybe even on the front, it should be located next to the Microphone and Headphone jacks. If all else fails you can use the Headphone jack for this purpose also.

Having done that you should be able to run the sound to your TV or Stereo.

Hope I was able to help you

I have two Harman Kardon speakers that came with my computer. I bought a subwoofer and would like to hook it to the speakers and computers. How do I do this?

You will need a sound card which supports more than stereo sound say a 5.1 or 7.1 then you will have the extra jacks to plug in even rear, centre and side speakers if you wish as well as a sub-woofer. Cheers from Scott....pls vote

How to hook up stereo speakers to your computer? on back of the stereo has a blue and red wires on the back.

You not only need the speaker but the amplifier [the main body of the stereo...where your Volume is] First make sure you have an input option at the back of the stereo,if your connector is different [e.g. you have stereo jack for the CPU and your stereo takes in RC only] http://www.mediacollege.com/audio/connection/jack-stereo-rca-2.html you don't have to worry about that,,,connectors are available. Attach the wire from the CPU to the Stereo,on the stereo select the input option from the front [it would be aux or any other option that corresponds to any external player attached] Play on. Let me know if any other queries...

I have a problem with the son of my computer.can i help me????

First of all if you are having the connection problem see that the wire from the speaker or the woofer is connected to output of the cpu( back of the cabinet you will find three jacks you have to plug into the green colored jack) then if it is with the woofer you have to connect the speakers to the output of the woofer, the input of which will be connected to the cpu.
Secondly you have check if the sound driver is installed(start---->control panel---->sounds in your pc if not you to get install the sound drivers for your cpu which you can do it by installing through the motherboard cd that came with the PC or you have to download it from the website www.driverpool.com by choosing your motherboard model

Won't power up

  • Make sure all connections on the rear of Subwoofer are properly inserted in their connectors.
  • Check to see if LED illuminates on the front of right satellite speaker. If it is not illuminated, check the power connections.
  • Make sure power switch on satellite is turned on.

Input LP's to my computer & play thru X-Fi sound card

Digitizing sound does not improve its quality. If your LP's sound like they do when you just play them through a stereo then the sound card is doing its job, which is to reproduce audio. If you want to change the way it sounds look into software to buy to do so. But simply running it throuch a analog to digital converter will not make it sound better when your source is an LP

Using the digital out on my HP Pavilion m9360f Elite Desktop PC

That's not an RCA jack that is for digital cable to connect to a surround sound system. What you want to do is connect an rca jack to the lime green out jack for a 2 speaker stereo system.
