Question about Acer Aspire 5600 Series 5630-6951 Laptop

Audio Troubles All audio plays choppy and is often slowed down. I have tried installing the appropriate audio drivers, but the problem persists. My computer is installed with Realtek High Definition Audio. I had the exact same problem, any audio coming out of RealTek HD was choppy and slow. Installing the latest driver didn't help. I followed the solution posted by Guest on Jan 6, 2008, i.e. uninstalling Primary IDE Channel. The first time it rebooted, the startup was way faster. The startup tune sounded normal!!! It then did its stuff and asked to reboot again. When it came back up, everything is fine now!!! I came across this link in another forum, as the article says, I noticed before I uninstalled IDE channel, one of my devices reverted to PIO, now both devices are back to DMA: http://www.onthegosoft.com/dma_setting_nt.htm

Or, I was on IE and watching a Video, music, etc. Lets say you open Itunes and play a song, sound is choppy?

When ever I play video and sound files, or run computer games, even computer booting up, the audio is laggy and choppy with lots of static, and video playback is accompanying it by being choppy and laggy. ...

I would reinstall the sound driver by going to the control panel choose system then when the device manager tab comes up choose hardware.Find the sound devices then right click on it to remove it.Windows will autimatically re-install the device.

When i play a movie and use my itunes the sound is choppy do you know what the poblem is because i cant hear anything do i possibly need a sound card ?

If you are viewing/listening on line and it does that but not when you play a DVD or tune from a disk, you have a slow internet connection problem. If it does it when playing a Video/Tune from a disk, download a newer audio driver from your manufacturers web site after downloading the latest Windows update.
Hope that helps.

Audio Troubles

This must be a problem with the configuration utility. In some cases when using realtek or c-media or related products that come with a utility to help you change the environment, some environments may make you sound to be choppy. This may also be memory or processors speed that may not support that kind of configuration. Try opening the utility usually at the bottom right coner of the screen at the taskbar and try changing the environements.
