First thing is can you print anything else or test pages? Also you will need to uninstall/reinstall the drivers http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=3571762&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us
Just select your operating system and download the drivers and install them from that file. If you still have issues please let me know. Please do not request more assistance/reject my assistance until I have been able to fully/properly assist you. You should find this helpful and if you do and have a moment to accept and rate the solution accordingly it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Lee

It does not print alignment test page can you email me one ?

How to Align a Printer Cartridge for a Dell Photo AIO 926Printers capable of producing high quality graphics and photos, like the Dell Photo All-In-One 926 printer, must have their cartridges properly aligned for best results. Typically you only need to align your printer's ink cartridges immediately after replacement. However, if documents show signs of uneven lines the cartridges being out of alignment. After aligning the cartridges print a test page to check print Instructions 1 Load printer paper into the Dell Photo 926 printer 2 Click on the start menu icon, on your computer, with your left mouse button. Left click on "Control Panel." Left click on "Hardware" and then left click on "Printers and Devices." 3 Locate and double left click on the icon for the Dell Photo 926 printer. The printer control window will open. Double left click on the "Adjust Print Options" button. 4 Click on the "Services" tab in the printer's window menu bar. Double left click on the "Align Print Cartridges" button." Left click on "align." Wait for the "Parameter" page to print. 5 Compare the figures on printed parameter page to current settings in the "Align Print Cartridges" window that has popped up on the computer. If the figures on the printed page correspond to the figures displayed in the window the cartridges are in alignment. If the figures on the page do not correspond with the figures in the window you need to set new parameters. Enter the new figures from the printed parameter page into the fields on the align print cartridges window on the computer, as directed by the prompts. 6 Click "Done" or "Okay." Exit out of all menus. Print any document and check the text and or graphics for quality.

How do you stop a test page from printing every time the printer is turned on?

Welcome to FixYa!

Here's how to stop the unwanted print out of test pages.

1. Let the printer print the test page.
2. Place the printed test page in the scanner face down and wait for 10 seconds.
3. Press the scan button of the printer to scan the printed test page.
Make sure that the printer scanned the document properly.

That's it. Every time you install a new cartridge, the printer aligns the print cartridge as well as testing/aligning the scanner.

Note: Try to look at the top of the test page, it should have instructions to place it in the scanner.

I hope that this will help.
Thank you for using FixYa.

I changed the ink cartrige,it keeps saying alignment cancelled and the copy button keeps flashing - when i open it up the ink cartrige wont slide back out it seems stuck.

The printer needs to be aligned and it wasn't done after changing the catridge so it does not want to continue. Have you tried pushing the flashing copy button to print another alignment page? Do you know how to align the printer?

After changing a cartridge the printer wants to print an alignment page to make sure that it prints correctly. Some printers have you print a page and they auto align themselves. Others cue you to print the alignment page which has a picture or other graphics that are in specific places and then it instructs you to insert the alignment page face down and press "ok". The printer scans the alignment page and configures the print heads to set up by the marks. It uses the alignment page as a map of where the print should be on the paper.

Try unplugging the printer from the power supply and wait about 30 seconds. Then plug it back in and turn it on. The display should say "print alignment page". Choose yes or confirm to continue. Your printer will either print the page and align itself, or print the page and tell you to insert it and continue. Either way follow the prompts and complete the alignment process in order to continue printing as normal.

If you are unable to get the printer to reset and start the alignment procedure over again, please advise and I will help you solve this problem.

I'm missing the HP Alignment page for an officejet J3680

when you do the alignment procedure, your printer prints the page to place on the scanner glass and complete the alignment. A page from another printer will not align your printer correctly. Select tools in the menu and then select printer alignment, the instructions are printed on that alignment page.

Dell 922 printer alignment problem-

try this...

Aligning Ink Cartridges Your printer automatically aligns the ink cartridges when they are installed or replaced. To verify your ink cartridges are aligned, you can print an alignment page. After you close the printer unit, press the Menu button. The alignment page begins printing. During printing, the operator panel display reads Alignment Page Printing. When complete, the message reads Auto Alignment Complete. Your ink cartridges are now aligned for optimal print quality.
You may also need to align ink cartridges when characters are not properly formed or are not aligned at the left margin, or when vertical or straight lines appear wavy.
To align the ink cartridges:
  1. Load plain paper. For more information, see Loading Paper.

  2. Click Start® Programs or All Programs® Dell Printers® Dell Photo AIO Printer 922® Dell Printer Solution Center.

  3. Click the Maintenance tab

  4. Click Align to fix blurry edges.

  5. Click Print.

The ink cartridges align when the page prints.

If this helps you plz rate this fixya. Thank you kindly. If you need more help post it & I'll be glad to do what I can.

I think the alignment page is printing every time. Disconnect the USB cable from the printer and keep the alignment page face down on the scanner glass and press scan button on the all-in-one. We need to scan the alignment page once the alignment page is printed to complete the alignment process
