My friends SG 230 had a virus that I cleaned up for him. However, I didn't install my new virus software. The problem he has been having is that the icons on the desktop seem to fade and enlarge, at the same time he gets red vertical lines. I don't remember the error message he gets also. I upgraded his memory to 768mb. I was wondering if his video has issues. Hmmmm?

Never before have I heard of a VIRUS installing ANTI-VIRUS software. I have had intermittent mouse problems before though. Thought it was a virus, as I interchanged with like 4 other (used) mouses (mice?) and there was no change. Found a fifth used mouse-a genuine Microsoft mouse (I was running Vista 64bit Home Premium) and installed it and my mouse problem disappeared ("installing new device"). I couldn't figure it out for the longest time, (still can't), I'm just glad it cleared up.
I run AVG FREE antivirus software and Ad-Aware anti-spyware (also FREE). I run both of those at least once a week, in addition to defragmenting once a week, haven't had a problem since.
Not familair with the yaabaa virus/spyware but usually this error is because your av got rid of the infection but didn't clean up the registry entry. So windows tries to load it and can't find the file so shows the error. So AVg killed it but it didn;t clean up afterwards.
your pc maybe overload of installing programs. if some program not working it's currupted with virus so that some massage pop-up on your desktop or try to check your memory (RAM) because so many programs installed, your RAM can't handle does program>>. solution: upgrade your RAM and clean up your pc with updated anti virus... if you're aware of COMBOFIX software, clean your pc with COMBOFIX. using that software (COMBOFIX) all autorun viruses will be delete...!
Transfer all the information you want in your new computer into a flash drive or an external hard drive.
Connect it to the new computer and right click on the drive where you can find an option to scan the drive for viruses. Choose that option and once the scan is done if there are any viruses then delete the files and transfer the rest into the system
You Better Format your Drive if not possible then plug it on some other PC (Which got the AntiVirus, with Latest Updates ).
Scan it then, make it clean and go on.
But if your Machine is totally messed up then it will be very difficult for you make it absolutely error free, so the best is to begin again with the antivirus, and keep the Virus Updated.
