Ok, I stand corrected. I never knew this technology existed. I looked at your manual and it indeed shows a sim card slot. The manual also gives instructions on how to insert it and what you have to do to make it work.
On the drop-down for the Operating System, just choose what you have installed on your computer and you should have all the drivers compatible for that computer.
I suggest try to call lenovo tech support ask more information about the sim card slot for the Ideapad machine you have. Lenovo support know more about their product.
As far as I am aware, the SIM slot is for storing secure data onto. Win7 has a very good encryption programme and requires either and external drive or SIM card to load it to.
