it is your widows problem you must uninstall service pack 2 operating system and install any other higher version operating system like service pack 3 or windows 7.
I will first try to restore the system first to the point when you had no such problems.
Then, run anti virus program like kaspersky. (Some programs catche virus or spyware well but don't fix well.)
If your problem stays same, there are two possible problems. (hightly possible first)
1) Motherboard Problem. (If your notebook were shut down due to any electric shock like sudden power down)
2) Power Problem. (Short power) - example bad battery
If you get an error message"Insufficient power to operate USB device" when you plug a USB deviceinto the computer's USB port, then this device is drawing excessive currentthat the USB port cannot supply.
In case such as this, youneed to purchased a powered USB hub and connect this hub into the computer'sUSB port and then connect the USB device into this powered USB hub.
Check whether there is any metallic debris in one of your USB ports.
If there is not, then there may be some something coming into contact with the circuitry leading to the USB ports that is causing the short. If that is the case, then you'll have to take the laptop apart yourself or take it in for service.
OK if you have anything plugged into the USB Ports at bootup, unless Keyboard or Mouse, remove everything, and see if it boots normally, if it does, then the "Hub" you are using may be faulty, or a device you are using is drawing a lot of current at switch on and overloading the USB bus, that can only supply 500mA. If it still does it, and you do use a USB KB & Mouse, then remove them one at a time & reboot, between, and see if it was one of them causing the problem. If you have nothing attached then your internal USB bus is flaky.
hi,
Please reinstall the chipset drivers and "Turn off the error messages from Device Manager
=> USB Host Controller => Advanced Tab => check mark
"Don't tell me about USB errors"
Don't Use existing USB Portn On your Comp if u want USB port then install PCI USB Card From the PCI USB card you can use your USB Device what ever you want to use
Some USB devices draw excessive power from the USB port, especially USB scanners. When this happens you need a powered USB hub, connect this to your computer's USB port and connect the USB device into the powered USB hub, you should not have any further error power surge problems.
1st prob. - I appears there is a loose connection problem somewhere - try reseating your RAN and hard disk.
Try to determine which part of the laptop is causing the problem, not moving the laptop around the room but by flexing different parts of the laptop and power cable etc. while it is on your table.
2nd prob -
Some USB devices draw more power than the USB port can provide and you get the error message - "exceeded power limit".
In these cases you will need to purchase a powered USB hub, connect this hub to the laptops USB port and connect the offending USB device into the powered USB hub.
