Question about Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
During a recent thunder storm My computer got zapped by a power spike O replaced the mother board The system came up. I had to re enstall my OS which ic XP after installing the OS I was asked for the product code. The code that I put in was the code from My burned up computer. Do I have to but another OS? the computer is a DELL
Install the cd that came with your laptop, or you can call dell and ask for there DMI update for you motherboard, DMI will serve as the identification of your motherboard and will let you install the operating system that cames with your computer
