Question about GE Dishwashers
Unfortunately, if you lost power as a result of a lightning storm or a power surge, there is a good chance that your dishwasher was exposed to a power surge that may have damaged the control circuitry. During these types of events, there is no way of knowing which device was affected unless there are visible signs of carbon or a burnt smell on the ircuit boards... so it will be a hit or miss proposition to repair it. You may have no choice other than to have an appliance person come in and diagnose the problem. Assuming they have a full complemnent of hardware with them, they might try swapping out individual piece parts until the right one is found... Good luck...
