It is grayed out because you do not have anything connected to the tv input. If you connect an antenna to it or even a coaxial cable it will not be grayed out, and you will be able to access it.

I can't find the picture of my play station 3 on this tv. I can't figure out ho to change the tv mode input. I can't find the picture on the tv

If you had this on an HDMI input before you will have to do a reset. Press the power button for 5 to 6 seconds till it beeps. You should be able to select your video output type after that. Don't worry this will not effect anything but your audio and video settings.

Toshiba TV, I can't tune channels, when I go to

Check whether the input is selected to AV. In AV mode, no tuning is possible. It it is in this mode now, switch it to TV mode.

Can't get the tv to switch from cable to antenna mode using a RadioShack remote or the buttons on tv

It sounds that the front panel controls are locked with your tV. You have to unlock it first, if you want to change its input selections. If you cannot select the inputs by using the remote control [I thing you are using a universal remote control], setup the remote control with an other setup code. All codes to remote control won't work with some functions. You have to search and select, which code give maximum functionality with your TV.

Tv/video switch won't switch

The model indicated is a older Toshiba rear projection(if another brand/model let me know)

You should be able to select the rear inputs either via the remote (original one) or with the input (video) button on the set.

If in the menu they are grayed out--it means they have been locked out.

Failing that a serious problem exists in the set's microprocessor.

Hint: if you have not tried it UNPLUG THE SET FOR A WHILE TO SEE IF WHEN YOU PLUG IT BACK IT WILL RESET and restore the inputs.

Can't get "no signal" off

Hey cthaemar, it sounds like it may have been switched off the correct channel. If it is hooked up with a Coaxial cable it will be on channel 3 or 4, and if it is hooked up with an AV cable then it would be on one of the inputs.

If it's channel 3 or 4 try pressing the gray TV button on the remote and changing the channel. If that doesn't work you may need to use the TV's remote or the TV itself.

If it's on an input press the same gray TV button and then try pressing Input. With this you can also try the TV remote or the TV itself to change those if our remote doesn't change it.

Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns!

I am having trouble recieving over the air digital signals. I have connected a 20 db amplified FM/UHF/VHF antenna to the cable/antenna coax connection, set the input to "TV", and set the TV to...

Hi there,

I believe you have probably selected the wrong TV mode. It seems that you have set the TV to analog mode. It is common for the digital tuning option to be greyed out in analog mode and only becomes available in digital mode. Look for a button on your Sharp remote labelled "DTV" or "DIGITAL" and press this, then open the menu and try the digital setup again. If you don't have one of these buttons, look for a button labelled "INPUT" or "SOURCE" and look for an input or mode called digital or DTV.

I will check on the exact method for your TV and post back with the details shortly.

Regards,
BElectric.
