Question about Hoover U6311-930 Power Drive Bagged Upright Vacuum
I ordered a new V-Belt from Hoover and it is too long to turn the brush. I consulted many websites and I have the correct belt. What could cause the correct belt to be too long? All other drives appear to be functioning.
That is the correct belt what you dont see is a tension pulley that when the handle is released pushes on top of that belt giving it the tension it needs. try replacing the other belt, even if it isnt broken it could easily be stretched out ( all belts of that type should be replaced every year - even if you didnt use the machine at all ). if that doesnt work that tension pulley could be damaged you would need to take the bottom of the machine apart to fix that.
