I met the same trouble, i just reset acer password by the following steps,
Step1.Download Smartkey Windows Password Recovery from recoverlostpassword.com anddecompress it on that PC. There is a .ISO file. Burn the .ISO file to CD or USBFlash Driver.Step2.Get out the newly created CDor USB Flash Driver and insert it to the locked computer.Step3. Re-boot the locked computerand then follow the process of instructions. Just after a few steps, the oldpassword will be removed. It can recover all Windows version.

DRIVERS

Go to the website for the DVD Maker and download the latest drivers.
No reason this won't correct the problem.
Don't go to Sony unless they made the DVD burner.

CD drive opens on its own

I can propose a workaround, if it is hardware related. Burn an image from the CD and Load it in a program like Daemon Tools. You can change the letter of the virtual CD drive via My Computer > Manage > Disk Management. But if you have the problem with only this game, it is probably the game itself. Just save more frequently.

Why Won't My Toshiba Satellite Laptop (A200 -AH3) Not Burn Discs?

Look for any software on the machine that uses the the burner. Start by updating it (many of these programs use what are called burning engines to process the request to write to a cd, and if theyre damaged, then the writing process will appear to occur, but wont do anything). If you use programs that download and manage music (such as Limewire, Bearshare, or Napster), uninstall them.
As a last ditch effort, you can try the istructions in this Microsoft article:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060
Be warned, you will have to reinstall the software needed to burn your CDs if you do this. It has fixed 99% of CD burning issues out there. Good luck

Burning CD's

The problem is the format, car stereos use a different format than computers do for reading discs. You can try formatting the burn process for the type of stereo (usually an MP format will work) or try different burning software, I've found that Nero works better than Windows for burned music CD's for the CD player in my Caddy, and I don't have to format. You might be able to find Nero at filehippo.com
