Hello, does the dryer drum spins? If so, then replace the heating element in your dryer. Look on the back of the dryer, if there is inspection plate about 10"x10". First, unplug your dryer, this is very important to your life. Once the dryer has been unpluged then remove the inspection plate.

Now, if there isn't an inspection plate on the back of your dryer. The the front of the dryer will need to come off. Just leave the dryer door on. Turn the dryer on it side---Remember to unplug your dryer--- On the bottom of the front dryer panel with the door is three or 4 screws just remove these screws. Now, pull the bottom the dryer front panel out about 2" or 3" and pull the front panel down. There is two snap locks that are hooked in the top of dryer cover. Pull the dryer panel out and reach in aroun the door to unplug door switch. I hope this work out for you. GB...stewbison

I have a Spectrafire Electric Fireplace and am getting an E3 error code. The fireplace turns on but within ten seconds I get that code.

The power to the heater can be disengaged to prevent the heater from being accidentally or unintentionally powered on. This feature is primarily added to help prevent children from powering on the heater when it is not desired. • To engage the heater override function press and hold the HEATER ICON for 10 seconds. The symbol E3 will display and then go blank while beeping 3 times. The heater function is now locked. If the HEATER ICON is pressed again E3 will appear then fade. The Flame, Downlight and Timer functions will operate normally. Only the heater and blower are disengaged. • To unlock the heater function, press and hold the HEATER ICON for 10 seconds. The symbol E3 will display and then go blank while beeping 3 times. The heater function is now engaged.

Why wont my 2001 ford windstar blow out of vents ? only on defrost?

Air Flow Control
Air flow control is accomplished in the following manner:
  • Primary control is through the function selector knob , mounted on the heater function selector switch, which is part of the heater control .
  • The function selector knob has the following positions: OFF, PANEL, PANEL/FLOOR, FLOOR, FLOOR/DEFROST and DEFROST.
  • The heater function selector switch combines a vacuum selector valve with an internal electrical switch.
  • The vacuum selector valve directs source vacuum to various vacuum control motors (18A318) . Refer to the System Airflow Schematic and Vacuum Control Charts.
  • An internal single-pole electrical switch is also controlled by the selector. The switch controls the electrical supply to the heater blower motor switch (18578) .
  • The position of the function selector knob determines the manner in which the system will operate.
  • Each position of the function selector knob is detented for positive engagement.

  • Two internal, single-pole electrical switches are also controlled by the A/C-heater function selector switch. The combination of these electrical switches controls the electrical supply to the A/C clutch and heater blower motor switch (18578).
  • The position of the function selector knob determines the manner in which the system will operate.
  • Each position of the function selector knob is detented for positive engagement.
  • Vacuum Control Motors The vacuum control motors (18A318):
    • are located on the A/C evaporator housing, A/C recirculation air duct and heater air plenum chamber (18471).
    • direct system airflow to the vehicle interior as determined by the remote climate control module or manual override.

Are the heater controls cable operated? You would need to look under the dash and see if the cables are still attached and still functioning when heater controls are moved. The cables will attach to doors to direct heat out.
