Question about Mitsubishi VS-70707 70" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Mitsubishi television What happened to me is the cable going to my television was too short. well instead of waiting until I got a longer cable the football game was on so I decided to hook it up by stretching it. It was fine until one of my roomates decided to pull the tv away from the wall and the cable was ripped out of the back. So instead of getting a longer cable still I decided to hook it up to the other jack. It worked until once again my other roommate tried pulling out the tv and that jack was ripped out. So i took the back of the tv apart and took out the little box that the cables hook up to. the cereal number I think is 295p421a20 now my question is WHERE DO i GET THAT LITTLE BOX AT????????? Ive tried look all over the internet and cannot find anything Please help!!!!!!

I'm using a remote provided by my cable company the problem is the remote programing codes they have don't work for my tv. They told me to contact the tv manufacturer to get additional codes. Can you help?

I would just go through the manual setup for the remote. most controls have a function that instead of inputing a code, you press the up channel button until your television turns off. immediately after finding that point, follow the instructions to set that code in place. usually the instructions are printed somewhere on the remote.

After a power failrue . my 65" Mitsubishi keeps flshing green light. I cannot turn it on. Reset couple times, did not help.

Replace the DM capacitors. That will often happen after a power failure, as the capacitors will be bad and the set will continue to operate fine untill the power is lost, then they can no longer charge due to their being weak so the timer led will blink repeatedly because the DM cannot complete the boot sequence untill the capacitors charge.

It keeps flashing between flashing lights regards

Hi.

The TV stays in standby because protection circuit kicked in.

Protection kicks in when an internal fault had been detected.

In your case the SCART cable may have caused a short.

When on protection the TV will stay in standby, will not respond to buttons or remote, and will not start up.
All higher voltages from PSU get shut down by controller board, and only the +5V remains on.

To attempt resetting the TV, disconnect all video cables, disconnect the power cord, wait about one hour and plug it back.

If TV does not restart, then there may be an internal fault.

In that case leave TV unplugged for longer, just in case.

If still no luck, then call Sony to discuss a repair. The number is listed on your owner manual.

If instead TV will restart, do not use the faulty video cable again, this can damage your TV.

Regards

Mitsubishi WS-65611 tv channels cannot stop scrolling

Check to make sure the channel down button is not stuck. If it is not the button is probably defective. Mits has had a lot of problems with the buttons.

Mitsubishi rear projection no picture and static sound

I assume you are using a cable input, such as a box or the main Cable line connected directly to the TV. examine the main Cable Coax, look at the copper wire that sticks out from the connecter, make sure it is long enough, if its to short, gently pull it with a long nose plier until it reaches the rim of the connector. Sometimes when connecting the coax to a source, the copper wire in the coax is to short to make contact, and as a result you get no signal. Hope this solved your problem.

Mitsubishi Projection TV Model # VS-50502

The power supply section is having trouble.
Common possibilities are:
- Convergences amps have failed overloading the supply
- High-voltage section (flyback transformer) has failed
(happens sooner or later, about 8 years typical))
- Power surge has popped the power input circuit.
(Fuse, rectifier diodes, turn-on relay etc)
- One of a hundred of electrolytic capacitors has failed short overloading the supply. They dry out with age, are cheap to replace, but hard to find which one it is.
- Or any of many other possibilities.

In short, you need a experianced tech to troubleshoot this.
