Keithridley1,

You said,
working but no heat with above codes?????

Here is what to do first,
huuum At your service!

Sometimes this can happen when the vent line is clogged.

1. Check if the lint filter is full and needs to be cleaned.
Try this first.
2. Then check if the outside screen covering the exhaust vent if this is even half blocked
with lint there will be no heat! This screen is to keep small animals out!
Try checking this and if it is clogged or the spring loaded door is stuck closed.
Try to clean the lint out of the corners of the flap door,
and or remove the screen permanently!
NO ANIMALS LIKE TO GET BURNT,IT'S HOT IN THAT TUBE! They sense this and stay clear.
It is 2 years that mine is off and all is fine.
*********************************************************************************************************
Next,
whether you found the vent clogged or not, this is the next step.

With an error code.

First unplug the washer and wait a few minutes then restart it like rebooting your computer when its acting strange! This should reset the system.
If it corrects the problem GREAT.

How old is the appliance?

If the appliance is 10 years old or more you it may not be advisable to put good money into bad!
New appliances are so much more efficient today that they can save you a lot of money in energy!!!!
Water,Electric and detergent! And put money back in your pocket!
The new appliance will pay for itself in only a few years!

Electric dryer will not heat?

If the electric dryer does not heat at all then there are some possibilities that have to be checked to confirm the fault.
1)check whether you are getting power to the dryer from electric out let to which the dryer is connected. The power problem can also occur if the fuse is blown or the circuit breaker is got tripped.
2) Other possibility for dryer not heating is the blown thermal fuse. The thermal fuse is located to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. This fuse blows out if the dryer gets overheated or any short circuit occurs in the house when dryer is in working.
3) The other possibility if the power is ok and if the thermal fuse is ok. Then the problem can be due to fault in the heating element. The heating element looks like a long coil of special wire. You can check heating elements continuity with an ohm meter. If there is no continuity that means the element is bad and you need to replace it. The heating elements cannot be repaired it should be replaced if faulty.
4) But if all the above mentioned possibilities checks out OK, and still the same problem, then there is a fault in the wiring. Check the main power cord of the dryer which you connect in the electric out let. If the power wire is got internally burned out or got cut in between the dryer will not get proper power and will not work Due to partial power.
This will help. Thanks.

Fault code f8

Without having full information about exact model number
Problem could be defective main board or heating element or sensors
Best way is visual check and check for any faulty component and parts and check all thermostats and sensors and look for clogged vent or any damaged or rusty or cracked components and use step by step deduction method for trouble shooting
F08 Lower tumble dryer element energised when it should be off
  • Check security of module connector J4
  • Check connector for signs of shorting due to moisture
  • Test heater elements and wiring
  • Replace module (F08 would normally be caused by a faulty module).

My motorhomes Eberspacher combitronic heating no longer works on 240v although still heats water and heats on diesel.

Hi l had exactly the same problem with my combitronic, tried virtually everything, asked & took my motorhome to several places found one that could find the fault. Apparently there was a break down of a wire under the sheathing stopping the heating working on 240v. Agency supplied if required.

What is f04 Whirlpool 6th sense?

F04 indicates a fault in the heating circuit.
It can be a main board, wiring, thermostat or heater fault.
You would need to check the heater and thermostats with a multimeter to ensure they are not open circuit.
.
However, the first thing to try is a reset of the control board.
.
Turn the dial to off.
Turn the dial clockwise to the 6 o'clock position.
Press the start button 3 times
Turn the dial 1 position clockwise.
Press the start button 3 times.
.
This should erase the code.
Try the machine again.
If the code comes back, you need to check out the heating circuit.
If you change or repair any part, reset the board, then try again.

Inglis IS8200 Dryer not producing heat.

Common faults -
1 The heating elements can fail (meaning open circuit)
2 There are cut-outs (T.O.C's) that might need resetting
3 The thermostats (stats) can trip out or burn out (meaning open circuit)
4 Modern tumble dryers also have sensors and pcb's (Printed circuit boards) these have programs that can fail and circuitry although most should produce an error code showing you were the fault is.
5 Faulty connections and burned wires may also be the fault.

Frigidaire dryer error E4A dryer will run for about 45 seconds then shutoff and start beeping and showing the above error code

Hi,

This is this is the "program Timeout Fault". Meaning the drying time has exceeded program time for that cycle.Press Pause Cancel and SELECT buttons for 6 seconds to exit test modes. Position cycle selector to NORMAL, temperature selector to HIGH HEAT and touch START. Check for anything that would extend dry times such as: no heat, restricted vent, blower fan blade broken or loose, dryer installed in closet with solid door, or bad connection in moisture sensor bar circuit or dirty bars. If dryer operates normally but code returns, replace electronic control.
Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

F10 code showing up, bipping and therefore nothing gets heated

F10 indicates the pressure switch isn't sensing a change in the water level.

Unplug the appliance and take the top off.

The pressure switch should be on the left near the top.

Take the thin tube attached to it off.

Blow as hard as you can down the tube for as long as you can.

Give the pressure switch a couple of good taps with your screwdriver handle.

Refit the tube and try the machine again.

Ensure the wiring and plug to the pressure switch are good.

If your hotpoint washing machine is not working and you feel it needs repairs and you are getting the E10 or F10 error code, this means there is NO cold fill and you should check and verify that the taps are on and that the hoses are not kinked.

The first thing to check is the taps, most machines will have the hot and cold fill supply plumbed via a hot and cold inlet valve placed under a sink or directly behind the machine, it is usually a silver valve with the Blue and some times a red flexible hose connected to it, the blue should be cold and if there is a red that will be the hot supply.

In the on position, the plastic switch located on the side of the in let vale should be pointed in the same direction as the arrow on the valve and in the off position it should be pointed across the valve, if it looks off, especially if your valve is under a sink where pots, pans, boxes and other item can get pushed up against it and could turn it off by accident, simply turn it back on, but do not force it, as forcing it could break it, and that could lead to a flood situation.

If the valves looks OK, but the washing machine is still not working and you still get the E10 or F10 error message, you now need to check for a kinks in the pipes, this will probably mean pulling the washing machine out from its housing to continue the repair.

At this stage you need to take in to consideration the fact that the washing machine will be heavy and connected to both the mains electrics and mains water supply and also that putting the machine back properly can often be harder than taking it out.

If you are unsure, you would be best advised to call a engineer, if you are not willing to pull the washing machine out you could still also check any part of the inlet flexible hose pipes that you can easily see, like in the cupboards and also to the side of the washer, if you see any kinks, you could try to remove the kink and test the machine again.

Error codes are usually machine specific and the diagnosis given here is for the hotpoint unit only, do not relate this diagnosis or error code meanings to any other make of washing machine

Dont know what the fault codes are for my Hptpoint Dryer CTD80

Hi.
F10 indicates that the heater is open circuit, or the thermostat is faulty, more likely to be open circuit thermostat, you should replace both thermostats.
Also make sure that you clean the filters regularly

This should solve your problem.
