1st you can try check position your dvd in your dashboard, if you did sure in good position and the body of dvd itsnot pressured by dashboard , check power connector , fuse of acc & bat+ beckup, make sure acc > 12v in stanby and work condition, bad conection power make voltage and ampere drop , so if dvd in heavy job acc drop from normal so make dvd mall fuction, other case if power normal that problem coused by broken mekanical of your display mekanic , Fix Ya

if the screen needs to be wired to the dash light switch it will not change unless the lights are on, if the wire is disconnected it is possible to bypass it making the screen stay bright.
although it would seem more likely that the brightness could be adjusted on the unit settings or by a button on the unit itself
Silvercrest has a policy about traffic security! they deliver car audio and dvd players with no possibility to watch video while driving !I went to a car audio specialist and they connected a brown cable which was the handbrake cable to the ground (a black cable and then the pro was solved!I didnt see the warning (enjoy music only while driving) i could watch dvd while driving and my pro was solved ..
You just need to connect the handbrake wire to handbrake. The handbrake connect to GND when it's engaged and the the radio will allow you to see the video. It's safety feature to not allow view videos while driving.
But where you bought this radio? I had one ago, but it was stolen together with car. Now I would like another again, I got mine from lidl.
You are simply in blackout mode. This is so at night you aren't blinded by the glow of a screen. Here are instructions right from the manual to turn on or off.
Blackout Mode On and Off
When Blackout mode is turned on, the monitor display will turn off to
reduce power consumption.
This additional power enhances the sound quality.
1 Touch [VISUAL] on the main source screen.
The VISUAL selection screen is displayed.
2 Touch [OFF].
The backlit-display portion goes out.
3 Touch [OFF] again to cancel the display backlight.
• To make the setting, set to “Setting the VISUAL Touch Button” (page
• If any button on the unit is pressed during Blackout mode, the
function will be displayed for 5 seconds to show the operation before
returning to Blackout mode.
• While the backlighting is turned off, the function indicator
well to start the e-brake will need to be applied to allow you to see the video if it was installed correctly.................to over ride this feature you need a toggle switch with 3 pins on it
on the toggle switch there should be two logos (power & ground) if you run a small wire from the red wire from the back of your in-dash system to the toggle switch (power) and do the same for the black wire (ground wire)..........the last pin on toggle switch you attach the e-brake wire from the back of your in-dash system to the toggle switch pin and turn it on video will play
if this doesn't work switch the e-brake and ground wire around on the toggle switch
hope this helped
