Hi My acer aspire Z5610 will not boot, it just stays at the Acer screen and doesn't go any further. The problem appears to be after a windows update. Currently running w7. Any suggestions gratefully...

try in safemode using f8, or else go to repair your computer in same screen and try system restore to reset computer to an earlier time. still not working then recovery is only option. use the alt+f10 keys on the system power up.

How do I take apart case of Acer Aspire M5100 to remove incorrectly placed Xd card (fell in)!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpiFF9ipmAo

please watch the above link - it will give you a generic idea of how to remove the case - the screws will be what holds the side in place. It is EASY - just don't over complicate it - - best of it

How do you open the acer aspire revo 3600 to install extra memory

Pry the two halves of the shell gently apart. There is a YouTube video of someone using a screwdriver; others recommend a piece of plastic like a guitar pick. http://aceraspirerevo.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=288
has both a link to the video and the other comments.

I hope this helps.

Door spring fell off I can not get it back on to work

Not much I can help with here, except maybe grab two tweezers or two small needle nose pliers and try to get that spring in there. Will take a try or two, but you'll get it.

Need a new touchpad for an acer aspire 5610 as it stopped working and my son broke the left hand button trying to make it work can you help

Call Acer - you can buy a new assembly from them. Or they can direct you to a local repair shop if you can't do the repair yourself. (Contact numbers for your part of the world are in the documentation that came with the computer, and on the Acer web site.)

How to change the power jack on acer aspire 5000

This is a big job. It requires taking the unit completely apart. Many small screws and pieces. Also may require soldering the new jack to the board. If you have never done it before suggest bringing it to a repair center.

Many things can go wrong that can kill the laptop.

Hope this helps!

Power jack on Acer Aspire 5610 loose - how can I replace it?

The power jack on that model is soldered to the mainboard.

Unless you're comfortable with taking the notebook apart, and good with a soldering iron, it is best to take it to a shop.

If you choose to do this yourself, the power jacks can be bought from several sources for around $10 including shipping.

Repair shops charge $100-$150 to perform this repair.
