The OK/MENU button does not seem to work..i duno if its a software or harware trouble..pls help..

If the camera is not working remove the battery for at least 60 seconds to reset the microprocessor, in most cases will cure the problem.

If that fails the camera has a systems board control problem which directs the digital functions, cheaper to replace the item.

Hi,

Please replace you OK pad with new one. Over time this pad can be deteriorated and need replacement.

Hi Sameera,

But it could be happen even on new product. This is why , we need a warranty certificate. So in this case, better return your camera to supplier to get it fixed or replaced.

It could be a battery issue. Make sure you inserted it properly and the battery door is closed tightly. Also make sure that the battery is fully charged or new. Try removing the memory card too, then turn it on. Remove the battery too, then replace it back after a minute then turn it on again.

Oh, sorry! I thought the ON/OFF button was malfunctioning. It is probably a button problem. Open it up and clean it. Check the rubber pad under the buttons for any crack. If there is a crack, then you need to replace the rubber pad.

Is a hardware malfunction. May be the button or the Board.

I recommend disasembly the camera
remove back cover

remove the buttons and check for obstructions
Clean the contacts buttons wiht a soft cloth.
With the back cover and button remove.
Turn ON and press directly the Menu swicth (gold circle in board)

The software version decides the function that coincide with remote signal. If the remotes' infrared signal frequency differ to the receiving spctrrum of the software, it won't work well. You must have the remote of the present TV itsef to work in coincide with the button actions. Just get it. There is no other way. OK.

Things that may cause the touchscreen not to respond:

Check if there are no damages on the touch screen area
Make sure that the phone has never been dropped.

Solution:

Turn off the phone then take the battery out.
Press and hold the power button for 15secs then put the battery back in.
This will reset the software of the phone if the problem is software only.

If still screen is not giving any response then the issue would be more of an internal hardware problem. Here's a link to help you further test the issue.

try resetting the phone like this

1) *#7370#, then enter 12345 (This is the default security code unless the user has changed it) and then Yes. The phone then wipes all apps and phonebook contacts on the internal memory.

if problem persists then pls update ur phone software from www.nokia.com select ur region and ur phone from list then download software update application backup ur data if it lets u do it and then download the phone software and update ur phone with latest software everything will be ok i can guide u further if u want me to
