Emachine keyboard went out

All of a sudden the keyboard went out on our emachine. I have purchased another keyboard but my problem is this. The keyboard requires software be installed. Well, My wonderful and adorable children decided to put passwords on all logins (we do know the passwords) however, NO KEYBOARD to type the login name and password. Any suggestions on getting this done?

After installing hard drive, monitor, keyboard, mouse not working

Have you tried to enter BIOS? Are you able to enter BIOS?? There may be an option you have to hit to enable SATA, and to select the boot device order, which may be messing things up.
Also, remember that STATIC ELECTRICITY is your enemy! Ground yourself when working inside the case.

I have an Emachine T2642.hears a pop and the power went out on pc

As long as your hard drive didnt go, you will still have all of your files. Chances are your Motherboard blew. Motherboards have capacitors so they can make popping noises if they blow

Emachine laptop Fn key locked

I think the only solution is to phisically remove the key from the keyboard - VERY gently, in order not to break or send flying the pieces to which the key is attached. The little rubber button underneath might be squished below those pieces.

Emachine boots to bios with a new hard drive installed

Go inside to your BIOS menu then set the BOOT sequence to CD as the first boot so when your PC with the operating system installation disk inside it will load the installation wizard.
Good luck hope that helps........

Emachine shut down

No, it's just the USB ports that are still being powered.
Totally normal in most new computers. Same thing with the PS2 ports.
There are jumpers on the motherboard that can change this if you really want. It's designed like that to keep things like you have powered for when you do turn it on and need them.
