Question about Computers & Internet
My keyboard won't type. It's plugged in and I have tried reinstalling. An indicator light came on - looks like a lock. How do I unlock it?
Totally Fixed. After cleaning my keyboard it wouldn't type. Googled it and got several LONG drawn out explainations. Finally put, "fix my keyboard" into the google search engine and here we are. Problem FIXED!!!

If this is the scoll lock key, just press that key and it should unlock (the light should go off). Post again if this does not work.

Tips for a great answer:
and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Gateway
Support" or "eMachine Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support).
Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating
system when requested. Download and install the keyboard drivers.
You could just purchase a light (lamp) that plugs into your usb port and hangs over the keyboard. Try the link below.
