MOPAR DVD Rear Seat Video setup menu Query

MOPAR DVD Rear Seat Video
installed in grand Voyager: the manual describes the process to change the "RATING" under the setup menu ! a password is required, (thats no problem)
However the defination of "RATING" is unclear !
Does this have anything to do with setting a different region code for DVD's (say from Asia / Europe / USA etc)?
the menu options are:
Level: 8 no limit
7
6 ....etc..
..... 2
1 All Limit
What could "Rating" Mean ?
Ultimately i would like to set the player to paly disks from all regions (i.e. Multi Region dvd player)? Any Solutions?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: I would like to know this dvd player can play in europe

I couldn't find any info on this players region code, but most DVD stores carry DVDs from all regions, and many players today can play DVDs of any region. To be sure call the local DVD store that you like and ask them what region DVDs they have. Hope I helped ;]

SOURCE: multi region code

This is not possible without bypasssing/cracking the firmware on your DVD player. your player will generally allow 3 changes to the region code. If you have not changed yet, you may do so within the DVD player's setup options.

Truck lock is jammed by briefcase strap. can i get into the trunk from the back seat? such as does the back seat fold down?

I searched the owner's manual and there was no mention of folding the rear seats down. If you don't have a manual, you can get one here: http://www.extendedgmwarranty.com/owners-manual/buick/1999-Buick-Century.pdf

You can remove the seats following the instructions below from autozone.com.
Rear Seats
SEAT CUSHION

Fig. Typical W-Body rear seat cushion removal

  1. Locate and remove the small bolts at the front lower edge of the seat cushion.
  2. Pull the tabs on the rear cushion retainers.
  3. Remove the seat cushion by lifting up and pulling out of the retainer.
  4. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Make sure the retainer tabs are snapped into place. Tighten the bolts to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).

SEAT BACK

Fig. Typical W-Body rear seat back removal

  1. Remove the seat cushion as described above.
  2. Remove the anchor nuts securing the rear seat retainer at the bottom of the seat back.
  3. Grasp the bottom of the seat back and swing upward to disengage the offsets on the upper frame bar from the hangers.
  4. Lift the seat back upwards to remove from the vehicle.
  5. Installation is the reverse of the removal process. Make sure the hooks on the seat back are properly installed to the hangers. Tighten the anchor nuts to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).

I have a 1991 grand caravan the right front half shaft keeps breaking i changed the shaft, caliper, rubber brake line, metal brake line.

Two things, if you get a vibration when you are decelerating( an indication of shaft problems) you may need to replace your 3 motor mounts. But more important, most aftermarket rebuilt shafts are junk. Buy only new or Mopar rebuilt axle shafts. Anything other than Mopar new shafts or Mopar rebuilt shafts(sometimes Mopar rebuilt can be bad too) and you are pretty much guarantying that you will be replacing the shaft again with in 6 months. I own a 1993 Voyager and have replaced a dozen axles. The problem stopped with the OEM parts. Forget about the lifetime warranty offered with auto store axles, unless you enjoy replacing axles.
