I have a 2006 Mercedes C280 4matic and am having issues with the front speakers and would like to replace them. Are these speakers 2 ohm or 4 ohm? This is not listed in the owners manual and can't get a straight answer out of anyone.

Go to crutchfield.com find your vehicle model .You should find what type speakers you have.My guess is that you have 4ohm front speakers..If you replace them ,replace them with poly material or weather proof speakers. That way they will last you..Goodluck

Do you bridge a 850.4 four channel amp when it is 2 ohm stable and ur subs are wired up as series/ parallel and there 2 ohm dual voice coil speakers

If you wire 2 ohm dvc speaker parallel that would give you a 1 ohm load. If your amp is only 2 ohm stable that would not work. You would have to wire the speaker in series giving you a 4 ohm load. Then you can bridge the 4 channels into 2 with each speaker running at 4 ohms.
If you want to run a 2 ohm load use all 4 channels on amp and speakers. No need to bridge.
For 2 ohm DVC:
Parallel = connect both + and - together. = 1 ohm
Series = connect + from 1 channel to - from the other channel. = 4 ohm.

I have the Alpine MRP-M1000 amp. I want to use 2 subs with this amp. Which Alpine subs would work best with this amp?

this amp is rated at 600w at 4 ohms and 1000w at 2 ohm so as long as you calculate your speakers to match the ohm specs of the amp you can hook up

parallel = pos to pos and neg to neg of the 2 speakres
2 - 8 ohm speakers in parallel = 4 omhs
2 - 4 ohm speakers in parallel = 2 ohms

series = pos to neg of the 2 speakers
2 - 1 ohm speakers in series = 2 ohms
2 - 2 ohm speakers in series = 4 ohms

I just bought a jensen 9312hd head unit and it says on the back only 4 ohms. Well my front speakers are 2.65 ohms and the back are 4 ohms if I connected the head unit would it hurt anything or would I be...

You will be ok. The ohms on the unit are for the rca jacks for an amp. your only issue would be if you have really crappy factory speakers that peak at less than 20-30w. If you have am speakers then your fine with almost any head unit.

Back speakers can't handle bass

you need to replace all the speakers in the truck except the front tweeters if you have them. I replaced all four with new infinitys from futureshop. Installed it was near 500 dollars. You need to get 2 ohm to match the infinity deck if yours is infinity. Most other systems are 4 ohm, these are 2 x 2 ohms for 2 and 4 ohm use. the factory's are garbage and use paper cones. The rears have plastic caps holding the tweeters in. On all four the paper was ripped away from the magnet and it caused them to vibrate and shake, once replaced with 180 watt infinitys...great sound.

Replaced rear factory speakers now have low volume

Factory speakers usually have low resistance ( 2 ohm) When replacing speakers with aftermarket, most aftermarket speakers will be 4 ohm. If you want the same sound you may have to buy some resistors to put on the speakers (across the + and -). By putting a 4 ohm resistor across the connectors will now make the speaker 2 ohms which in effect will raise the volume. Depending in what vehicle you replaced the speakers the resistance will vary.

Denon AVR-2307 Protection Circuit Activated permenantly

The speakers are 4 ohm speakers, a guy on another chat site sent me a link to the impedance curves http://www.audioholics.com/reviews/s...t-v2-fs/page-4

He agreed to that there was a mismatch as the unit has plenty of fresh air around it, plus all the speaker cables have been tested and installed correctly.

So, off to the store where I got it from tomorrow.

Multiple speakers in same outlet

How this reciever is set up is there are left and right A and left and right B Only one 8 ohm speaker should be attached per outlet. if you exceed that your driving the channel at a much lower resistance then the units designed for and the channel will burn up.. Oh it might last a short time but bet your last dollar it will burn up the channel if you over load it. Please dont forget to rate this.
