Can't pass activate page error message 8813 activation id does not match product selected. please verify activation id and re-install

    The program is rosettastone ver 3.2.11A

    Tried to go back and change language because of errror and then had screen that kept prompt would you like to remove this program and would not let me further. waited 1 week and tried to get past activate page and it said activation does not match the product, please verify id and re-install. Can't go further.

    Can't reach rosetta stone, on hold for over an hour in each mode

The most common cause of this issue is not restarting the computer following the installation of Internet Explorer 7. It seems that if you do not restart Windows immediately after the installation has completed, it causes some side-effects, particularly the error you describe. This may not have been your fault, as the Internet Explorer 7 update may have been automatically downloaded and installed from the Windows Update website. After the update was installed, and you were prompted to restart, you might have elected not to restart (as you did not realise the implications of such) and thus now the program does not work correctly. In this case, the workaround for the issue is to uninstall Internet Explorer 7, through the “Add/Remove Programs” control panel, and then reinstall Internet Explorer 7. Make sure you restart the computer once the installation has completed!

Apart from reinstalling Internet Explorer 7 I was unable to find any other workarounds for the problem. Some users have reported having to reinstall Windows, but this is only in extreme cases. In the worst case, you may have to just uninstall Internet Explorer 7 and go back to using Internet Explorer 6. However, I imagine you might like the new Internet Explorer 7 features such as tabbed browsing. Should this be the case, and you are unable to resolve the problem with Internet Explorer 7, perhaps another alternative is to try Mozilla Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/firefox). This is a very popular free open-source web browser, with many of the same features (tabbed browsing, RSS integration, etc.). This could be a useful compromise if you are still unable to get Internet Explorer 7 to work correctly.

The proxy Id is coming up possibly becouse the program has no access to internet. I recommend you try the phone activation, have you called the number? the phone support should sort it out with you.

I have purchased a Mcafee antivirus plus card with an activation code, but cannot access the website to download the programme. The only options are either free trials or further purchases

Installation Instructions

Direct Connection (Parallel & USB connector)

  1. Verify that the printer is turned ON.
  2. Connect the Universal Serial Bus (USB)/ Parallel (IEEE 1284) cable to the printer and to the computer
  3. Click on the Close button when the message "Your devices are ready to use" is displayed in the screen.
  4. The printer is now ready to accept the print job.

Wired Network & Bluetooth Connection

NOTE:For Bluetooth connected printer, please ensure that the printer's access mode is set to public mode for detection.
  1. Verify that the printer is turned on.
  2. Click Start > Control Panel and then select Printers .
  3. Click on Add a printer .
  4. Click Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer . A list of detected wired network or Bluetooth printers will be displayed.
  5. Select the printer you want to install and click Next . Follow the on screen installation instruction to complete the printer driver installation.

Wireless Connection

  1. Verify that the printer is turned ON.
  2. Ensure the printer's wireless network setting is set to the correct wireless profile matching the local wireless network/computer's wireless card setting.
    If you have previously configured the printer's wireless network setting, matching local wireless/computer's wireless card setting, please proceed to step 3.
    if you have NOT previously configured the printer's wireless network setting to match local wireless network/computer's wireless card setting, please follow the steps below.
    To set wireless network settings in an infrastructure network
    Connect the printer to the computer with the cross cable (included with the printer) or connect the printer to the network with a network cable.
    Press the configuration button once to print a configuration page.
    Open web browser, and type in the IP address that has been assigned to the printer.
    Configure the printer's wireless setting to match local wireless network/computer's wireless card setting.
    Unplug the cross cable/network cable.
    Activate the printer wireless network, activate the computer's wireless network profile.
    Proceed to step 3.
    To set wireless network settings in an ad hoc network
    Do the following to reset the printer's network settings:
    1. While pressing the Configuration Page button, press (Resume button) three times.
    2. Wait about 20 seconds, and then press (Power button) to turn off the printer.
    3. Disconnect the power cord from the printer.
    4. Wait about 20 seconds, and then reconnect the power cord.
    5. Press (Power button) to turn on the printer.
    6. Open the configuration utility for the computer's wireless network card, then create a new wireless profile with the following values.
      • Communication mode: ad hoc
      • Network name (SSID): hpsetup
      • Security (encryption): disabled
    7. Activate the wireless profile.
    8. Wait two minutes for the printer to obtain an IP address, then print a wireless configuration page to verify the following for the printer's network settings.
      • Communication mode: ad hoc
      • Network name (SSID): hpsetup
      • The IP address is NOT 0.0.0.0
    9. If one of the above conditions is not true then repeat the preceding steps. Proceed to steps 3 below.
  3. Click Start > Control Panel and then select Printers .
  4. Click on Add a printer .
  5. Click Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer , a list of detected printers will be displayed.
  6. Select the printer you want to install and click Next . Follow the on screen installation instruction to complete the print driver installation.

This article describes how to troubleshoot problems that you may experience when you try to activate a 2007 Microsoft Office application. Additionally, this article contains several methods that you can use to troubleshoot activation issues.

This article is intended for a beginning to intermediate computer user.

You may experience the problems in the following scenarios:

Scenario 1
When you try to activate a Microsoft 2007 Office suite, you may experience one of the following symptoms:
  • You receive the following error message:Your software cannot be activated because the product key you installed with is not valid. Please uninstall the software and reinstall it using a valid product key.
  • The activation process fails. Additionally, you receive a message that states that you have reached the limit on the number of computers on which you can activate the 2007 Office suite.
Scenario 2
When you successfully started a 2007 Office application and all functions worked correctly for you in the past, you receive an error message. The error message indicates that significant changes were made to the configuration of the computer. In addition to this error message, you may also experience any of the following symptoms:
  • When you try to activate the 2007 Office suite, the Activation Wizard disappears.
  • When you try to to activate the 2007 Office suite over the Internet, you receive a communications-related error.
  • When you try to activate a 2007 Office suite , the Activation Wizard does not start. Additionally, you receive no error messages.

Scenario 3
You try to activate the 2007 Office suite over the phone. However, after you enter the confirmation ID that the support staff supplied to you, you receive an error message. The error message states that the confirmation ID is invalid.

Scenario 4
When you successfully started a 2007 Office application and all functions worked correctly for you in the past, the 2007 Office application now runs in a reduced functionality mode.

Scenario 5
When you start a 2007 Office Trial version for the first time after you complete License Activation, the 2007 Office Trial version runs in a reduced functionality mode, and the Office Activation Wizard is displayed. Additionally, the following text is displayed:

2007 Office system is expired. In this expired state, many features of the version are unavailable until you convert to the full product. Click Convert to begin the conversion process.

Note This activation problem indicates that the Opa12.dat file is corrupt for the 2007 Office application. Scenario 6
When you try to obtain an activation key for a trial version of the 2007 Microsoft Office system over the Internet, you receive the following error message:The Microsoft Activation Assistant was unable to request your trial activation key
This issue is temporary until the updated version of Try Microsoft Office 2007 is available. Microsoft is in the process of updating Try Microsoft Office 2007 based on the January 2010 update for Office Word.   • Activate by using the telephone You can call an Activation Center and activate your product by talking to a customer service representative over the telephone. Telephone activation might take longer than activation using the Internet. You should be at your computer when you call and have your software product key available. Telephone numbers vary by license and country/region. In step 2 of the Activation Wizard, use the number provided to call the Microsoft Activation Center.
    1. In the Activation Wizard, in step 1, select the country/region where you reside and will be using the product.
      When you select a country/region, one or more telephone numbers will appear.
    2. In the Activation Wizard, in step 2, the Activation Center customer service representative will ask you to provide your Installation ID and other relevant information.

From the Microsoft website:


In the Activation Wizard, select the country/region where you reside and where you plan to use the product.

The wizard provides one or more telephone numbers appropriate for your selection.Use the number provided on your Activation Wizard screen to call the Microsoft Activation Center.

Call the Activation Center.

The customer service representative asks you for your installation ID (displayed on your screen) and other relevant information. After your installation ID is verified, you receive a confirmation ID.


In the Activation Wizard,type the confirmation ID in the spaces provided at the bottom of the screen, and then press ENTER.


Telephone activation is not available for Trial and Subscription versions.

Short answer, activate by phone not on the internet.

Uninstall Office 2007 from your system. In turn reinstall Office on the system which you want. Please read the End User Licensing Agreement (EULA) should you have any questions. The EULA will answer all specific questions. Please repost should you have any questions. I will include the directions for telephone activation should you encounter any complications.


Activate by using the telephone” option. To activate the product this way, follow these steps:

1) Start any Office program.
2) In the “Office Activation Wizard”, click the “Activate by using the telephone” option, and then click Next
3) Read the “Microsoft Office Privacy Policy” page, and then click “Next”.
Note You are not required to read the Microsoft Office Privacy Policy to continue these steps in Microsoft Office 2007. A link to the Microsoft Office Privacy Policy is provided so that you can read it at any time.

4) In the “Select your location” list, select a country or region. Call the telephone number that is listed on line 2. The customer service agent will ask you for the installation ID and will give you a confirmation ID in return. Type the confirmation ID in the boxes provided.
5) Click “Next”.
6) On the “Activation Complete” page, click “Finish”.

How do i import an excel sheet to suretrak


In Excel create Activity IDs and Descriptions and copy those two columns. While in the Activity ID box in Suretrak (with no activities below) select paste. You should be able to at least input the Activity IDs and Descriptions. I haven't played with pasting Durations, Starts, etc. If the Suretrak columns match your Excel columns, you may be able to paste as much info as desired.
