check to make sure your lamp is completely in and connected properly, and the lamp door is closed completely, if still no light, pull the lamp out and make sure it is not broken from transporting it or handeling it.
Making sure you do not touch and glass portion of the lamp or surroundings. only touch plastic or "metal using clean dry paper towel for metal contact" as skin oil can destroy a lamp.
"If this dosen't help please reply for more help before marking a bad suggestion, thanks"
SOURCE: power (maybe internal fuse)
This sounds like either the power supply&Ballast is blown. Or the lamp blew out. Take the lamp out, look at the bulb to see if it is frasted heavily or just broken. If not you might want to send it in for repairs.
SOURCE: Sony LCD projector light turns purple
I had the same problem on my 3M projector, i found that the problem lay with the cable.
My case was solved by turning the cable around i.e the end which was in the computer is now connected to the projector.
Try the above or try a new cable.
I hope this works
SOURCE: consistent flickering; had the projector on for 2
Check your filter and make sure the projector is well ventilated ( all vents free of objects), all electronics have to cool. Some lamps start flickering when their about to die.
SOURCE: viewsonic projector pj501 - Has purple bloch with
2 issues- the light filter on one of the lcd panels is burnt due to excessive dust and heat. and one of the lcd panels is shot. time to replace the entire optical engine, unless you can get the prism assembly. otherwise, replace the projector. if you do, remember to keep it clean.
