My printer makes clicking noises. It prints perfectly fine but when it moves on the steel bar from left to the far right. there is a white arm pin that sticks out periodically and impedes the free movement of the printerhead. It is at that time that I beging to hear the clicking noises

The early signs of mechanical failure aka carriage stall. You can try resetting the print heads and cartridges and see if it helps.

A lot of times this is caused by something that has fallen into the printer - I just pulled a necklace out of one - when the cartridges are not at the far left or right pull the plug on the printer and move the carriage until it stops and look for an obstruction there

I'm not sure you specified the correct printer. The 7110 printhead is not pentagonal. Is your printer the 7110 all-in-one?

Trouble printing some colors.

Have you tried performing a head cleaning? Usually running the cleaning process will clear it right up. After cleaning run an alignment to make sure the heads are straight.

You can find the utility in the print driver properties and look for maintanence tab.

Hope this helps

Remove the rear axis door and then try to clean the rollers with a soft cotton cloth and then try to print again. The rollers might not work if there is any dust and pieces paper got struck in the rollers.

Can not print color on hp officejet 7110

Hi,

it might be a hardware issue with the printer however we still can try the following stes to reset the printer.

1
Take out the cartridges from the unit .
2
Make sure the unit is connected to the wall jack directly without any surge protector.
3
Unplug the power cord from the back of the unit ( without turning off the unit ) .
4
Now press the # and 6 key together , while holding these keys down plug in the power cord back into the unit .
5
Do not release the keys after a few seconds u will find te hp logo or bars moving across the screen .wait while the unit turns off.
6
after one minute turn on the prnter . it will go into alligment phase > let it finish .
7
after its done > try to make a copy
