Question about Maytag 24 in. MDB4000 Built-in Dishwasher

Open Question

Maytag MDB400AWW It just died. No power at all to unit. The Mrs. turned it on. It ran just enough to fill the bottom with H20. Then it stopped. I need an electrical schmatic to proceed. Are there any sensors or microswitches that would turn off all power? Thanks, Mark

SOURCE: Dishwasher will not fill up with water

check the following- remove the wires from the fill valve.close the door and start the unit.u should read 120 v as u start the unit.if u read 120v then fill valve is bad.if not then chk and make sure the float is sitting completely down and float sw is closed.the power to fill valve goes throug this sw.if all is ok and still there is no power then u may not be getting power from cntrl board and control board could be bad.but that rarely happens.turbidity sensor does not affect the fill operation.good luck.

Washer ran all over the floor after filling up and didnt stop filling

Well, there are two main possibilities: Inlet valves and pressure sensor system. to test the inlet valves, turn off the machine, do they stop? Dirt can keep them open.
If power off stops the water, I suspect the pressure system. There is a component outside at the bottom of the drum that measures the water volume, using pressure. This collector component sometimes gets clogged with detergent. If it is open, test the transducer at the other end of the plastic hose. The system is designed to stop the power to the inlet valves when the pressure builds.

The error indicates a problem with the incoming water supply.
Check for restricted or kinked inlet hose/s, check that tap/s are fully turned on and that you have adequate water pressure.

Maytag Microwave Oven (MMV4205AAW) won't power on.

You will need to replace the 20 amp. ceramic fuse inside the unit. This is real easy and the fuse only cost around $10.00 You will find a break down of your unit at just enter your model number and a break down will come up. Your part number is PS2052772. You can also locate where the part goes. Good luck.

My washer will not fill up, only the spin cycle works. The dryer is fine

H20 supply is turned off, h20 valves are bad, or the timer is bad. if water is turned on, replace water valve, but first check to make sure power to water valves, if power is present, replace water valve, if not, replace timer.

Water is emptying while filling up

On this model range, some m/c's have filter, and others did not, you obviously have one that does not.
H20 means no water is entering m/c.This is usually caused by water not being turned on, a kinked inlet hose or not enough water pressure to open inlet valve.
It would appear that you have got water there, make sure the drain hose is high enough to stop any water syphoning out,
to locate the filter on this model you need to remove the rear pael of washer, and remove clip that secures the large black hose to tub., remove hose.
Inside you will find the plastic filter, remove and clean, refit and make sure you get it back on properly.

If you are certain that the pump is on all the time, then you may have a problem with the main prigramme control, this would mean calling an engineer out.
Plz rate my soluytion.

This can be a bad inlet water valve.  Does it stop filling when you unplug unit?  If it does,  your valve is probably ok.  If it doesn't,  replace inlet valve assembly.
If water does stop,  you may have problem where the air dome has become dislodged.  You need to remove a inner drum vane and then turn this spot to the bottom.  There should be a black ruuber unit there.  This is the air dome.  It mist be seated.
