Oce 7051 plain copier has dust or something on one of the rollers - prints have a trail of marks across sheet, repeating every 10 inches from top to bottom of page. Probably need to remove or access roller?

Dust on the rollers normally would not cause a trail mark unless the dirt or dust is transferred on the paper at which case the next copy would not have the same marks as the dust is not there. Check your drum you may have to replace it. Or check if there are any dents on them.

If the drum has marks on it, you might have to replace it.  Sometimes the fuser rollers can leave marks on them as well.
Check for lines on the drum first.  If they are there, it could need a drum replacement.

I agree with mastersaintx, dirty rollers don't cause this.  A drum can.  Sometimes the feed tires above the paper tray can if there gripping too tight.

If there are marks on the drum you should replace it.

Welcome to FixYa!
Solution 1:If you can reach reach for the rollers, clean it with a cotton moisten with a cleaning solvent (an alcohol will do) .
Solution 2.Purchase a "printer roller cleaning paper" from a computer store or an office supplies store.
Note: After the cleaning process from solution 1 or 2, the markings will not immediately go away, it will still take some time but it will surely help speed up the cleaning of the rollers.
Thank you for using FixYa.Have a great day.

Prints are coming out ''dirty''.Oce 7051

when printing a file, in most cases it's the photoconductor unit (also called 'drum') that needs to be replaced. if this did not help, it may also be the fusing unit.
when making copies, it may very well be smudges on the scanner glass.

I get a vertical line tried cleaning tried the option where you press button till 3 lights come on"

If a blank document also has the same line. then the cleaning routine which sucks ink from the cartridges via the printhead, is futile.
You have a contaminent in the paper path itself that will either require some disassembly to find and remove or you can try a trick that doesn't:
- Use a sheet of high quality plain bond paper, make a streak across the page with (preferably pure) alcohol.  - Feed the page into the printer and force the paper to feed through several times. - It helps occasionally if you can grab the trailing end of the sheet and hold it for a second, then let go again, then repeat. This cause the drive rollers to rotate against the paper, hopefully where the alcohol streak is.
This will sometimes dissolve and remove whatever it is that is in the paper path.

Roller Marks

Try this to clean the rollers:

Put in blank sheets of paper in then print out from microsoft word a blank document.

This should clean the rollers. Also, there might be special cleaning sheets that you can purchase from Epson.

Repetative mark along right side of printed page.

Roller is misaligned somewhere or gear is broken. It will repeat every several inches depending on the diameter of the roller and the section that broke. A small section break that repeats every three inches indicates gear malfunction on a roller whose circumference is approximately three inches.

Horizontal streaks on pages

Streaks at 2.82 inch intervals: Horizontal marks at this interval are the result of a mark on the fusing roller of the printer. In some cases, these marks can be cleared up by running a cleaning page through the unit. Laser Printer Cleaning sheets can be purchased at your local printer/office supply store. If the marks persist, this can indicate a more serious problem with the fusing roller that would require service attention.

Streaks at 3.74 inch intervals: Horizontal marks at this interval are the result of a mark on the image drum of the printer. There is no way to repair a damaged photosensitive image drum, so in the case that it is scratched or otherwise damaged, the entire CRU (toner/drum cartridge) would require replacement to clear up these marks.

Small group of spots repeating on page

Have you tried contacting Okidata, 2000 Bishops Gate Blvd.,Mount Laurel, N.J. 08054-4620 Phone 1-800-OKI-DATA(654-3282) or visit www.okidata.com I have a similar problem with my OKIPAGE 10e. 1 inch wide black line, 2 inches from right hand side of page from top to bottom of 8 1/2 x 11 pages. I also cleaned black dust off green roller. Problem continues. Conclusion: I'm not an expert, but I think your wiping, checking, and cleaning, is a waste of time. I think your problem, and mine, is probably not a hardware problem, although I removed my black toner cartridge out of curiosity and perhaps re-installed it incorrectly. My guess is it's some sort of electronic problem, such as programming error, or software problem.
