Question about Mitsubishi VS-50705 50" Rear Projection Television
I've had this tv since 95, has worked great the whole time, however the original remote has since been lost and I bought a universal remote and it worked. Came home one day and no picture out of the blue, young kids playing video games, so it's hard for me to see what channel the tv is on, almost seems like maybe one of the kids pushed the wrong input buttons and the tv is lost in cyber space. Any suggestions?

un plug the set and use a flashlight and look for evidence of the CRts leaking on the chassis this is a common fault with that model. It will cause a dead set.

Good day, Bgchzy;
This model is known for the tubes leaking fluid, glucose, on the PCB. Check the front of the chassis for said fluid, it may be only a drop, so look closely.
To fix, after TV has no power, try cleaning the board with cleaner and brush, let dry. I suspect this because of multi unrelated problems.
