Re: Microsoft Office Outlook 2003-Can't get in
The Extend.dat file is an information file created by outlook to store some small, usually useless information. It is located in a folder that's usually buried and hidden on most Windows PC's. Try this.
Close Outlook, and all other office related products.
Open your control panel.
Find the entry called mail. You may have to select the classic view on the left to be able to see this icon.
You should now see something like this image:
Click on data files. You should see something like this:
Now click on open Folder. This will take you to that secret and hidden place on your hard drive that contains you out data files. You should see a files called extend.dat in there. If you do, delete it and reopen outlook. If you don't, then you may have to destroy your outlook profile and recreate it.
Comment back here on if this fixedya, or if I need to help you recreate the profile. If I'm going to help you recreate the profile, you'll need to at a minimum know who your hosting your email through.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

ok make sure that your server pop link and other details are placed in MS out look account settings as fine while creating it otherwise you would get the same. e-mail id routing is important once if your mail-id is fine.
Your operating system is tied to MS Windows 2003 and also with the MS Office Suite of 2003 that's why the default is MS Outlook 2003. Gmail is internet based and not restricted to your operating system. You can also access MS Outlook on the internet (Microsoft Office Web Access - MOWA) You will have to operate the two seperately as both have the features you will need.
THanks & best Wishes
Make sure you have all of the critical and important patches for both your operating system and MS Office/Outlook. If you continue having these problems after being fully patched, go to the Add/Remove Programs (XP and earlier) or Programs and Features (Vista) applet. Select MS Office (if you have the full Office installation) or MS Outlook (if you have the standalone Outlook installation). In Vista, select Change otherwise select Uninstall (which should open a dialog offering to Repair or Uninstall the application(s)). Select Repair and click Next to let it do its thing. A reboot may be required when it has completed its work. You also may need to reapply service packs and patches so make sure you visit Windows Update, Microsoft Update, and/or the Office Update websites as soon as possible.

You do not want to download the Free Outlook 2003 (any site offering free outlook 2003 is a scam/spyware filled) You can download Outlook free as a trial from Microsoft. Do not trust and Outlook or other Office software from any place besides Microsoft.. You want to download Microsoft Office 2007 Pro which is paid software. MS Outlook 2003 is not free.
