If you are referring to the main power cord then you should be able to purchase one at Home Depot/Lowes of most local hardware stores... make sure you get the current rating off the tag on the appliance.. 15Amp or less can use a cord size of 14 gauge.. you should use a 12 gauge for any appliance requiring up to 20Amps ( in your case ..1100 watts minus losses within the system should allow you to use 14 gauge power cord.)

Unit has no power nor is display lit up. Have power to cord. tripped breaker. is there an internal fuse behind control panel

Microwave ovens have an internal fuse to protect the unit. Once you remove the white cover it is easily located on a board where the main power cable first goes into. Despite what you hear about dangerous radiation generated by microwave it is sage to turn on the microwave with the white cover off because the radiation stays within the microwave cavity. If you buy pass the door interlock then you may be exposed to some radiation escaping from the door opening. No match can go wrong in a microwave. Usually its something simple like a bad connection a burned fuse .or a burned power supply if it is microprocessor based unit.

I see other people talking about getting error codes on their Kenmore microwave. How do you get these codes my unit stopped working completley and the display is blank. I have been told to look into the...

Scott, if everything has gone blank on your microwave and you have no lights when you open the door, it may be the main fuse or even a tripped circuit breaker. Plug something else into the outlet to make sure that the circuit breaker is not tripped. If that is okay, un-plug your microwave and take out the screws that hold the outside cover onto the microwave and then remove the cover. Look for where the power cord goes into the unit and follow the black wire from the cord. It should go to either a small circuit board with the fuse located on it, or it may go to an in-line fuse holder. If you have access to a multi-meter, you can set it for continuity and check your fuse after you remove it from it's holder. If it is bad it will not show continuity. Replace it with the same amperage fuse that you take out. It will be stamped on one end of the fuse and will usually be either 15 amps or 20 amps. Hope this helps!

My samsung electric range is off but blowing cold air

If the magnetron was making louder noises prior then replace the magnetron. While the cabinet is open make sure to look for burned wires, check the continuity of thermal cutoffs, and check the main circuit-board for burned traces or components. The relays in most electronics are known for arcing (spot welding) and staying in the wrong position. Tap them hard with the back end of a screwdriver. During all of this use safe electrical practices by having the power cord unplugged. The capacitor could still have a high charge on it so be careful.

Then you have blown a fuse. Check inside the oven chamber and look for missing powder paint or signs of arcing, if so dispose of the microwave. If the inside is good remove all the screws and remove the cover. Replace the fuse. If the magnetron was making louder noises prior then replace the magnetron. Since the fuse went the giant capacitor is likely bad. Died completely, no power, no panel, disgusted, 2003, brand new, mad and unscrewing model

Find the main fuse on the floor of the device near where the poser cord comes in to the cabinet. Probably needs a 20 amp ABC rated fuse available where electric parts are sold.

Don't be disgusted, you got 6 years out of it so far. As kitchen appliances go, the microwave is probably the most reliable. Treat it well and it will run for many years. Don't open the door while it is operating to protect the door safety interlock switches.

Why wont it power on?

probably a burned out fuse.

unplug it, open the case, and trace the power cord. There is usually an in-line fuse before the cord attaches to the main transformer.

buy a replacement in the hardware store, look for an old-style automotive fuse.

Have an installed GE Microwave jvm1870 with a burned out oven bulb. Have replacement bulb but can not see how to get to the old bulb to replace it.

From the owner's manual:

Cooktop Light/Night Light

On models JVM1850, JNM1851, DVM1850 and EMO4000, replace the burned-out bulb with a 120 volt, 40-watt incandescent bulb (WB36X10003), available from your GE supplier.

On models JVM1870, JVM1871, JVM2050 and JVM3670, replace the burned-out bulb with a 120 volt,
20-watt halogen bulb (WB36X10213), available from your GE supplier.

To replace the bulb(s), first disconnect the power at the main fuse or circuit breaker panel or pull the plug.

Remove the screw at the left edge of the light cover and push on the right edge of the cover to open.

Be sure the bulb(s) to be replaced are cool before removing.

After breaking the adhesive seal, remove the bulb by either gently turning (for models JVM1850, JNM1851, DVM1850 and EMO4000) or pulling straight out (for models JVM1870, JVM1871, JVM2050 and JVM3670).

Replace with the same size and type bulb.

Raise the light shield and replace the screw.

Connect electrical power to the oven.
