I have an emachines W5243, and during the start up for my windows it shuts off, any way I can fix the issue?

Possible solution
If this is an i/o problem then i would suggest that you clean the computer out. Go to the computer store and buy yourself one or two cans of compressed air. When you get them you are going to want to shut down your computer and disconnect the power from everything since the next step involves opening the computer case up. Remove the screws on thew back of the unit that hold the cover on, you will be able to see which screws do what. Open the cover up and take a look, the cpu cooler plugged with dust etc. Take the air can and styart blowing the dust and dirt out of the computer, also make sure that you clean out the poiwer supply as well. This will be the place where the plugin connects to the computer. There are fans and other things in the computer as well that you should blow out. If this problem is i/o this may just fix it for you.

start in safe mode, system restore back a few days

If still no good, try a hirens boot disc, run the HDregeneration and scan & repair the HD

You could have bad hardware.

it can be a bad power suply ,just try replacing it. IF it dosent work check your hdd

you can test the mouse to different computer. if the mouse works without any issue ..then we can start troubleshooting the pc

Strange, uninstall the modem drivers, restart then reinstall them. should fix the problem.
