Question about Creative Labs Zen Stone Plus MP3 Player

2 Answers

Shows the green light, but doesn't play a single song.

What am I doing wrong here? (I lost the instructions, for one...)
I charged my Zen stone 1 Gb player for 4 hours (the first time, just bought it). It showed a red light that came and went away, but after a few minutes just a long red light.
Then I unplugged it from the computer and when I turned it on, it showed the green light for 2 minutes, and then three red short ones. Then it goes back to green, but doesn't play any music that I downloaded in it.
Can someone please help this clueless Finnish girl and mp3-amateaur?!
Thank you veeeery much.

Zen stone 1 gb mp3 player canot play any songs can read on pc but can not open on my computer can charge and can on what must me the problem?

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto yourcomputer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.

A friend gave me a zen stone 2gb and he lost the manual. I can't even figure out how,to turn it on. HELP!

If you plug your Zen to a PC and connect to the autodetect feature of Creative Labs at the below link you then can download the manual, use the knowledgebase, read the FAQ and even update the firmware and drivers for it.

Charging problem

The red light means that your zen stone needs to be charged or that it is fully charged. If it plays music it is fine. If it doesn't turn on and has a red light try charging it.

The computer will not recognize it and i cannot listen to music

Green light then blinking red twice means that there is something wrong with the USB cable you are using. You will have to replace it. Any USB cable that fits the shape of your Zen Stone's port will work just fine.

My player doesnot play but it just shows the word [CREATIVE] why?

The funny thing was that I could see the drive in My Computer but I couldnt access the directory because it was apparently corrupted

So I reformatted the player using comand prompt. So far, I uploaded one song and I was able to turn the stupid zen stone on and play it.

WARNING: Reformatting the drive will delete ALL files in the player.

Hope it works for you!

My zen stone stays on a solid green light

Just tried this on a zen stone with speaker and worked. Connect your zen stone to your computer. When the green light is on, use a paper clip and press and hold the reset button (small hole on the headphone jack side). The green light should turn off. Wait a bit and it should start blinking to indicate it is now charging. Note: This reset only worked when I had it connected to the computer.

Hope it works for you too.
