Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

MY sharp TV is broken. Where the cable is screwed into in the back of the TV was pulled out without being unscrewed. So I need to have that fixed so that it can be hooked up to my tv so the cable cord is able to screw back in.

Youll have to either have it soldered back in or replace the tuner

I HAVE A LG REAR PROJECTION TV MODEL AN-44RB10 HOW DO I CHANGE THE LAMP

If you see the tv set from the back you should see to the left part of it something like a plastic box sealed with twoscrews unscrew them and put the plastic off inside you will see a metal box holding the lamp (make sure the tv has na power and) unscrew the metal box and pull it out unscrew any screws holding the lamp and without touching the lamp at all replace it with a same one (don't use your bare hands because the grease from your hands will be burned when the lamp goes on and might destroy it . screw everything back screw the plastic and give it a try

WANT TO REPLACE THE BACKLIGHT ON MY SHARP 55R wp4H

Hello,

Turn off the TV by pressing the power button. Go to the rear of the TV and pull the power plug from the electrical outlet. Wait 10 minutes for the power to drain from the LCD TV's capacitors before going to the next step because TV store a lot of current which can cause electric shock.
Go to the back of the TV and locate the lamp tube replacement panel in the lower right corner. Pull the maintenance cover off by hand first. Then unscrew the Phillips-head screw that secures the smaller tube door panel down. Pull the door panel off and unscrew the two retaining screws that hold the lamp tube in place. Pull the lamp out by hand and then insert the new tube. Screw the retaining screws onto either side to hold the lamp steady.
Re-screw the tube door panel back into place and then slide the maintenance cover over that. Turn the TV around. Plug the power cord into the electrical outlet and turn on the TV and that would be all.

Regards.

I can not remove the stand from my tv

1. Verify that there are 4 screws fastened (2 screws on each side which can be unscrewed using a hexkey)
2. place the TV on a flat surface with the screen facing down... unscrew the 4 screws using the right hexkey size.
3. Pull the stand downwards to take it off.

How can I still use this TV?

find another TV, VCR (many around now), or other cable using device and exchange - 7 or so screws on  back of tv come right off and expose lower interface where cable jack is.  remove wires, solder salvaged unit in and it works....  Be careful when removing back of tv -  you can pull other wires when doing so.

VCR/DVD prongs broken off in TV

unplug the tv then try to drill a real small hole in the broken off part of the cable that is inthe tv, then take a sharp pointed screw and try to thread it into the hole that you drilled if able to get it started then pull out on the screw to see if it will come out. If not able to do it this way you will have to take the back off and some of and see if you can push the broken part out from the inside. Be sure to unplug your tv from (AC) so you dont get hurt. If that dont work then u probley willhave to take to a shop to get fixed.
