I think your video card has gone out. You can disable the video vcard if it is onboard, or replace the pci video card if one is in the pci slot.

Computer powers on, no beep, monitor is blank

open the tower, on the mother board you will find the RAM card approx 6 inches long, take out the card and restart the comp, you should get the beeping sound and the mother board is fine, if no beep that indicates the motherboard has gone bad.
place the ram card properly into the same slot and then restart the computer. NOTE while putting your hand into the comp components always make sure that the pwr cord is pulled out or else you will get shock.
also check the cord at the back of the harddrive should be fixed properly. take it out and refix it at both ends . probable cause is there is some loose connection of the cord or the RAM.

Laptop screen blank

I had the same problem with mine. I did end up solving the problem by having the laptop charing for many hours. However, it only lasted for a short time. I took my laptop in to the comp tech and it was the motherboard. I think it was caused from over heating. I am no computer expert, but I think the comp tech that told you that is right. I am not sure how old your laptop is, but mine was not very old and I rarely used it. I ended up having to purchase a laptop. I know this does not solve the problem, but at least you know that it does happen to others.

2.unplug the charger
3. remove the battery
and after press and hold the power button for 60 seconds without any charger and the battery. After the 60 seconds replug the battery and the charger and turn the computer

Desktop screen is blank even when the cpu and monitor indicator a

It looks like issue with either mother board or processor.
open the box and remove all memey and power it on. if it makes a beep sound, there is no issue with processor, else we suscpect processor. If it make beep sound, it might be mother board issue. And for checking monitor working condition, remove monitor data cable and see no cable connected messages comes in monitor or not

Comp does not turn on. green light off but goes on when mobo disconnected

Test the power supply in another computer.
If that works, the next thing is to check the mother board. Remove all daughter boards from the slots. Remove all memory, disconnect all hard drives, cdroms, etc.
Make sure there is nothing plugged into the mother board except the video cable (if it is on-board video), if not, then make sure you have a good video card plugged in.
Again with no memory, no boards except a video card, if needed, and the power plugged into the board.
Turn on the power, and watch the screen. If it works, then you should get a notice that there is no memory, no hard drive, and so on.
If that is the case, then proceed to install one item at a time to isolate the problem. If it is not the case, the the mother board is probably bad. One other thing to check would be the CPU.
If you get no notice with the above, then the cpu could be bad. Check it in another computer, if possible. This should tell you what the problems are or is.
In the above cases, either the cpu or the mother board can be isolated to see what is bad, if any.

EMachine T3406 wont boot

is there a post beep when the pc is switched on. check the memory if it is a beep beep beep sound , also disconect the hard drive, dvd drive, floppy, and any usb devices and see if it boots up. if that fails it does seem like the mother board, also check the cpu fan has it stoped. also find out the power switch conector on the mother board, from the base unit switch to the mother board. also chech the power connector from the power supply to the mother board , on newer boards there are two that go to the mother board its self , a big one and a very small one .
