The Z counter cannot be turned off, as it is a security issue. the staff could use the feature to reset the reports without the managers knowledge, so Casio do not let you do it. The counter is held in the totaliser file which is in system memory. You would need to initialise the machine and program everything from scratch (around 6 hours of work for a full memory).

No. You can't stop it from being printed. They thought of that too.

Each model has a special code to print different reports at end of day. If you have lost the manual, one of the forum guys has most of them here:

How do I do a Z report

There are special codes on most machines depending upon the type of report you need. Use the codes in the manual to create a report. If you don't have a manual, one of the users has most here:

How can i get my te m80 till to print it was printing but now nothing on the paper my grandchild was plying with buttons

If it still prints an end of day report, the receipt is probably turned off (press PAPER SAVING button).
If the end of day report comes out blank, make sure you have the shiny side of the paper to the front (only prints on one side). If those things are not the problem, it is probably time for a new printer. The Seiko printers in that model were total rubbish and frequently need replacing if you print a lot.

Is it possible to reprint previous Z1 Reports on certain days using the number assigned to each day?

no, cash registers don't do that...a pc based computer pos system might though. some casio cash registers let you select a day out of the month and pull out the net sales only for that day
