Question about Insignia NS-DA2G MP3 Player

1 Answer

I want to get a replacement CD for Insignia NS-DA2G

  1. I have a Insignia NS-DA2G I have the soft ware in storage along with the computer that it was installed on, however storage is two hours away, and I am not sure where it is in the two storage units. I have since gave my daughter my MP3 player for her twelve birtday 9-7-08 I want all my songs copied over to a new sony MP3 I bought my self 3 days ago. I plug in the MP3 player USB cord to the computer and I can't see any of the music file on the Windows Media Player under the Insignia player.
Because I have all my CD in Storage and living with my Mother in law I have no Music stored any where other than my old insignia player. My daughter is not concerned about her adding music at this time since it was prepacked with the only type of music I really want my CHILD to listen to. How can I get a replacement CD software and can I down load one off the web so that it will work correctly as long as I am using my mother in law's computer? Why does the player not have the software on the device? Why do they not offer one with AM station? If you can call me I will gladdly call you back at my expense. Thank you, Dianna Glenn 1708 Russell Glen Ln Dallas, Tx 75232 214-331-4255 Home 719-964-3120 Cell

This player does not allow multiple sync parters to prevent piracy. If you are syncing it to a new computer you must re-initialize the player and erase the songs.

Wish the News was Cheerier.

Is there a place online where i can download soft ware for my mp3 player i have no CD drive

As this is a discontinued product, you might have trouble finding support for it.  Nevertheless, I did some research, and I think the driver can be found under the following page:
http://insigniaproducts.com/products/portable-audio/NS-1A10F.html?supportTab=open

Good luck!

How to delete songs put onto mp3 by another computer

If you wish to remove all of the music from your device, follow these steps

1. Press the Menu button
2. Select "settings"
3. Select "system"
4. Select "erase all"

If you wish to remove certain songs but not all, Insignia recommends using Best Buy Rhapsody to manage the files on your device. The program recognizes the MP3 player and Files can be dragged between your MP3 player and Rhapsody. Even tho this perticular model is discontinued, they still have the manual online. Go to the website and put the Model number in and click the appropriate model(it shows NS-DA1G and NS-DA2G). The next page has all the manuals and information you should need

NS-DA2G

Make sure player is on, use another USB port, wait at least 30 seconds.

Does the Player Charge when connected to the USB ? If so then you have a "Live" USB connection so you may need to resolve a USB driver issue.

Make sure your OS has the latest updates: ie Service Pack 3

This site has the Rhapsody software, as well as a link to the drivers for older versions of windows or mac. As well as the user manual and other things you might need. I hope this is some help to you.

Cant Install Or Replay Playlists NS-DA2G

I called insignia. An extremely rude cust. service rep. told me that the player doesn't work with itunes playlists and is ONLY mac compat. as a storage device.

What a crap answer! I actually can get songs on the thing and they play, but playlists are a lost cause.

Sometimes technology sucks.......

Urgent!!!!!

If your PC still recognizes the player, you can try to drop the firmware update onto the players mass storage area. Once you disconnect the player from the USB cable, the player should begin to update the firmware.

If this doesn't work, let me know. I can look into an alternative method for fixing your player.
