Question about Televison & Video
I own Samsung LNT- 2653H makes a high pitch noise when it warms up( you can really hear it when the LCD TV is muted!
noticedit after only one weeks of owning it ...now at repair ...tec didn'thear the sound himself...he did call Samsung they said it was a coil inthe power supply circuit /like you said
so it is a known issue /manufacturer defect/ but Samsung won't tell you anything when you call/ says there isn't any known recall on this tv...that is all they saybut they did tell my repair guy what the issue is
There are many Samsung LCD tv's out there with this issue especially the
What would be the charge to fix this problem?...I am just curious?

Hi , I recently had the same problem which I was determined to fix . So I did a few weeks of research to find that it was the Y SUS board which burns out. I'm sure you realized that the TV gets hot. Personally I think this is why. circuit boards don't like heat and I've learned that the cooling fans are a joke. I replaced the board and got my picture back. I proved the fan theory because after the screen started to act up. I placed a cooling fan near the vent holes on top and the problem cleared right up,It also helps if you lower the brightness which helps out on the heat situation.I will soon be adding a fan with a temp. sensor. This shoud help if your screen has lines when you initially turn the cool TV on.then I have Some other costless solutions. Hope this helped these are great TV's and like our cars we maintain them not throw them away..................................Mr Wiseman

it is a power supply issue. options 1- replace the power supply
2- this unit has an issue with 4 capsitors on the power supply which sit side by side and are about 10 volt each replace them with standard 16v caps.

Definitely a power supply problem.I had the same problem and changed the power supply, and TV works normally. Depending where you buy the unit, it shouls cost around $150/--, and it is very easy to replace.

sounds like either way your power board is bad- do you intend on replacing a component? I would look for Puffy caps- you know- leaking from the top-
