You will have to clear the error .(Servce mode copier - Function-Clear- Err-OK) by keeping front doors open. After that Just check whether Lower roller heater lamp is working or not withe help of multimeter By taking out fixing assy.Prakashshalakas@mail.com
that is a thermistor error code. there are several causes for this. the thermistors are dirty, the upper fixing roller is damaged or it might have paper wrapped around it, or the connecter on the back of the fixing frame has a hair line crack in it. now you can clear this code if you you think there isn't anything wrong with the afore mentioned items.
you have to get into service mode. first you will have to shut the copier off at the main power switch and turn it back on once the error code pops up on the screen you will need to get into service mode.
you hit the
additional funtions button
then the 2+8 at the same time
then additional funtions button again
once in service mode you will need to follow the following steps
hit the copier tab
then the funtions tab middle of screen across the top
then hit the clear tab
then the err tab and hit the ok button to clear error
now you only have like 30 seconds give or take to get into service mode and to clear the error code before the machine shuts down if you don't get in fast enough dont worry shut the copier off and turn it back on and keep trying till you get in and clear it. trust me it took me several tries my first time i realized this myself.
All E000 codes have to do with the fixing unit. It can be reset but if the code comes back it will need to be serviced. It has been known to be caused by electrical noise on the main power supply so a filter might keep it from coming back. To reset. Press the star button followed by 2 and 8 at the same time, then the star button again. You should now be in service mode. Select COPIER and this will give you some options along the top. Select FUNCTION. In the list select CLEAR. From the next list select ERROR and press ok. Then switch off machine and back on at the power socket. If it clears then all is ok. Be warned!! Do not try to change any settings in service mode or clear any other function!! It is very easy to mess a lot of things up while in the service mode.
Hit Additional Functions

Look for the error code, that would lead you to the problem area, most likely the fuser assy. needs to be replaced. Do this, Press;
press 2 and 8 (together),
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS again,
You should now be in Service mode, if not hit CLEAR twice then repeat the steps above.
the one listed at the top is the error code.(write it down)
You can try clearing the code then reboothing the machine with the right side switch and it might work.
This is how you clear the code, follow all the steps above except the last one (ERR) instead select FUNCTION above then CLEAR then ERR. Turn the machine off then back on again.
If that does not help and you are still having the same problem, you could either call Canon with a service call, call a local technician or get yourself a service manual and with the error code you wrote down above try looking it up or contact us again with the error code. Good luck.
