My phone, 2 months old, has recently started displaying 100% charge constantly when not on charge and also not displaying the correct indicator that the phone is on the charger. This, of course, lasts for a day and then the phone dies as if the battery has completely discharged. Is this a battery issue or software issue?
...so guys, after one week of investigation I finally managed to fix this annoying issue. I made an update of the ROM - I had the German unbranded version 10a and I flashed it with the English (Turkey) version 10d (issued in May 08) and to my surprise, the battery indicator started to work properly. For more detail how to flash your device follow the link below (of course you must know what you do so read it carefully because you will do it on your own risk)
Another solution is to send the device to LG / distributor as a warranty repair, they will probably replace your battery. Few users posted that they have done it this way and it also helped.

Well I've the same problem. I wonder if I should send it back to LG, but I'm afraid of loosing my 29$-Invisible-Shield-Cover :-/

...I have the same problem, the baterry indicator is continuously on 100%, then the phone shuts down after 1 day and impossible to start without plugging the charger in. But afterwards it immediately says that the baterry is full. For the batterry lifetime it is very dangerous. I will try the hard reset but not sure if it helps...
The battery indication remains at 100% and upon charging it, it replies that it is fully charged
I have the same problem with battery indicator. It always show 98% no matter what in the world happennnn!!!. I would like to know how I can fix it.

mine is 7 months old. The battery thing just happened. Hard re-set didn't fix it.
My KS20 is also 7 months and the battery started to last only 8 to 9 hours and just like all of you it shows at all time that its charged at 100% only to die suddenly, i called customer service in the usa for a warranty service they said the KS20 is an international phone i had to call international customer service in Honk Kong i called couple of times i guess they were closed just got a recording in chinese ill try again, IF ur phone was purchased under a year u still have warranty on everything that comes in the original box
Hi , I am from India ; annoyed by the LS KS 20 .... Shows full charge on the Battert Indicator .... Seems like this in a common problem with this make ... Has anyone tried to reinstall the OS of the mobile and solved this problem ???
I had the same problem. I send the phone to be repaired, where I bought it. 3 times! It came back with the fault again. They said there was nothing wrong! Fortunately LG and the shop agreed to give me back my money.
I loved that phone for the first month. Nice size. But... in the end, to many problems.
