I found this site for schematics but am interested why you'd spend the time when reasonably priced supplies are readily available from reliable vendors. I've pulled apart a few supplies and have had some luck repairing them but overall it wasn't worth the time. Switching power supplies are not the easiest to trouble shoot. Base wishes.

How to repair power supply? it's not work. how to

I recommend you do not try to repair the switch mode power supply, Mains voltage equipment are dangerous if you do not know what you are doing.
Switch mode power supplies are not expensive to purchase, I suggest you purchase a new ATX switch mode power supply. There may not be many 120 watt available, but higher wattage power supply are more common, the mounting holes are standard.units

I'ld need the pinout of 20pin connector. Thank

The 20 pin connector is a reduced 24-pin connector, omitting pins 11, 12, 23 and 24. (as though they were just sliced off the end of the connector)

There's a good diagram of a 24-pin connector on wikipedia:

IT IS NOT WOKING

You cannot economically repair a power supply.

Unless there is a glaring burnt solder joint you have to a scope and a schematic plus access to parts.

The average cost of a replacement unit from a PC shop is less than £25

My compaq armadastation EM does not power up, it is most likely the power supply unit. the part no. i have is 228012-001, while i saw in the web other available parts listed as no. 101881-001. they look...

Compaq puts two different numbers on their parts. One is the part number used for manufacturing. There will be another number on a label somewhere on the unit that says "Compaq spares number" or similar wording. That's the number you would use if you were ordering directly from Compaq. If the spares number is the same one you are seeing on the web then you can use that part.

I want to repaire a damaged power supply unit for compaq desktop computer

First a word of warning .... the capacitors in power supply units hold their charge for an awful long time so if you must start disassembling it leave it at least a week for the voltage to dissipate.

Next ...what exactly are you trying to do inside the power supply? I have replaced fans on occassion but further than that, unless you are a qualified electronics engineer, i would question the validity of doing anything.

Why not just buy a new PSU? ...they are not expensive?

Power supply does not fit!

OK most PSU's are the same.. by that I mean as long as the output & connections match, then the size & shape don't really matter. On the PSU somewhere will be a "Wattage" rating say 250Watt... whatever.. simply obtain a standard (Usually 350Watt) PC Power Supply Unit (PSU)of the SAME or HIGHER Wattage rating & also ensuring the Mating Connector onto the MotherBoard is the same... ya be all good..

NO POWER/POWER FAILURE

I'd assume this machine uses an ATX design power supply. ATX and other late designs (after the days of the AT style units) have a standby voltage supply which powers just a small portion of the motherboard circuitry (voltage= +5 volts). Your problem is likely caused by one or more electrolytics in this standby section. If you open the supply, you should see at least 2 switching transformers, likely sitting close to each other. One will be large (for the main/full power) and a small one (for the standby section). Usually the bad capacitor is on the primary side (on the side where the switching transistor is). It may be a 10MFD/50Volt or 47MFD/25Volt, or some value close. If the bad cap is on the secondary side (the section which is connected to your motherboard), then the value will be something like a 1000MFD/10Volt or 16Volt, or 1500MFD, 2200MFD. This capacitor will be physically larger than the one noted for the primary side. I can't tell you the exact location on the board where these capacitors might be, except they will be close to the small transformer mentioned above. If you have a digital camera, and could take a pic or 2, I might be able to point to the exact suspect part. You could send pic to dodgecharger4404@netscape.net. Of course, you need a solder iron/solder, and a little skill...
