Question about Motherboards
All of *********** board's drivers can be found here :http://www.ecsusa.com/ECSWebSite/Downloads/ProductsDetail_Download.aspx?detailid=43&DetailName=New&DetailDesc=P4S5MG/GL+%20%20(V7.0)&CategoryID=1&MenuID=82&LanID=0

Click on this link to open ECS's web site for the P4S5MG-GL+ motherboard. http://www.ecsusa.com/ECSWebSite/Downloads/ProductsDetail_Download.aspx?detailid=43&DetailName=Driver&DetailDesc=P4S5MG/GL%20%20%20(V7.0)&CategoryID=1&MenuID=82&LanID=0
All drivers are listed here. Suggest you create a folder on your desktop & name the folder MB Drivers.
Create new folders inside the "MB Drivers" folder & name each folder to reflect the driver you intend to download. Example; Name a folder Sound & download the, SiS 7012 PCI Audio Driver into the Sound folder. Save the file; 7012_104_w9x.zip into the Sound folder.
You will need to uncompress the file 7012_104_w9x.zip. When uncompressing the file, which will create another folder named "Win9xVxD", keep it within the Sound folder. You can do this for all drivers listed for the motherboard & once uncompressed you can burn your own MB CD.
How to install your sound driver?
Left click once on the start button. Slide up to & left click on control panel. Find the System icon & open it. Left click on the hardware tab than left click on the device manager button. Scroll down to Sound, video and game controller, which should already be opened. You should see a yellow explanation point here.
Right click once on the yellow ! point & left click once on update driver. Windows hardware wizard will open. Click No, not at this time. Than click the next button. Another window will open. Left click once in the circle next to, Install from a list or specific location (Advanced). Than click the next button. Again, another window will open. We want to remove the green check mark next to, Search removable media (floppy, CD-ROM...). Click the green check mark once & it will go away.
Click the browse button, click the + sign next to my computer. Find you’re desktop folder
MB Drivers & open it. Than open the Sound folder & left click once on the folder named Win9xVxD so it is high-lighted. Than click OK.
Windows will find the correct driver software within the folder & install it automatically. Once completed. Close all opened windows & restart you’re system. Test your audio. If you intend to use a mic, you will need to set this up through the Sounds audio devices within the control panel.
Good luck tyndz_14!
