A new zoneline AZ29 was instaled yesterday. It is turning on by itself with tno lights in the panel . When I turned it off it keeps on running. I liv ein PR and won't need the heat functions.
I want to be able to turn the air on/off manually
The GE Zoneline units have small DIP switches inside the unit where you can turn various functions on or off. The units have a feature called Heat Sentinel that turns the A/C on at a certain room temperature, even when the unit is turned off. It also has a Freeze Sentinel that turns the heat on automatically, even when the unit is turned off. You can turn off the heat and freeze Sentinel features with the DIP switches in the unit. There are other features you may want to turn off. Read the owner's manual and it will tell you where the switches are and which ones turn off the features. Hope this helps.
