Microsoft word student addition

Hello,
I was just trying to fix my issue with word crashing as soon as it boots - so I went into regedit like your instructions told me to do - and it said to rename the key - which one though?
I can be reached at danielle@sunyourbuns.com - if you would be so kind to help me - that would be great.
Thank-you so much

1. If you have trail version installed in your computer then you have to remove it first and than try to enter the product key.
2. If this doesn’t work, then rename these two files opa12.dat and opa12.bak. These two files are located in C:\\Programdata\Microsoft\Office\Data. If you don't find these tow files then can search it also.
3. After renaming these files. Go to Registry Editor (type regedit in the RUN box). Follow the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\OFFICE\12.0
and delete the folder {.......}. After this open any office application and it will prompt you to enter the product key once again, so enter it and see what happens.
4. If this doesn’t work then call Microsoft support agent to generate a new product key.

Need Key code

Hello Gam113,

I'm sorry to hear about your crashed drive. I hope this information helps you with the recovery that lays ahead.

Microsoft includes the Product key with the documentation that camewith the install CD. Usually on one of the sturdier section covers. But if you cannot find it, you would not be the first. If it has been lost there is a remedy. I can only point you in the right direction though. Productkey replacement is done solely through Microsoft. Finding the rightplace to do it can be daunting. Here's how to cut through the red tape, most of it anyhow:

Click here to bring up Microsoft's product replacement page.

Scroll down a few lines.
On the left side, under the second 'More Information' header, click on 'Replacement Product Key'.

This will walk you through the procedure.

Additional help:
Click here for the 2007 Office Suites Solution Center. This page provides numerous options for you.

If all else fails, give them a call:
