Ice formation depends in part on how often and for how long door is open but also worthwhile checking the door seal with a slip of paper trapped between seal and cabinet

Does it just need the knob or has it broken so far that it's not working at all?
In any event even if you cant get the exact thermostat there are many others that could probably be grafted in. If it just needs a knob then have a knob put on it and a white mark so you can see the position. The model no should be in the fridge, maybe it's on the back?
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply.

Could be a relay switch, needs to be troubleshooted to find out problem, but if under one year old it is still under warranty. Call lowes they will get a service tech out to repair it for you.

Good day,
You gave limited information, but if it's running and not freezing then the major cost would be in the compressor and sealed system. These expensive repairs are covered by a 5 year warranty, and you are well within that time period.
If it proved to be something else, the cost would be minimal.
So yes, it should be repaired, and you would want a Frigidaire dealer or Frigidaire rated warranty station to perform the service.

P.S. It is too new a model to rate it's quality. Only time can do that.

Frigidaire side-by-side stopped working

I would chech the components on the compressor. Take the cover off the compressor power terminals and inspect the relay for damage. The power outage is not a concern but the power surge could definately be the cause. hope this helps.

Whirlpool side-by-side won't get cold, compressor clicks on-off.

Sounds like the start relay OR the compressor is no good. Have a service tech look at it, because there may be a capacitor in the circuit, which could be dangerous for you to fool with.

Compressor went down

The sealed system of any fridge or freezer is normally covered by a 5 year factory warranty. This compressor will be covered, but maybe you need to demand service from the place you bought it from and contact the manufacturer directly and demand they fix it. If they won't fix it free consider legal action.

Cheers

Ice maker stopped dropping ice or even making ice.

Try using a hair dryer to thaw out the rubber tubing leading to the ice tray. On mine, I opened up the front door to the icemaker and found the rubber tubing leading in. I squeazed it, it felt frozen, so I applied heat. Water began dripping out, the area thawed, and I had ice again within a short period of time.

Frigidaire GS26HSZCC7

it sounds like it could be the defrost timer/board hanging up in defrost periodically. this refrigerator has an adaptive defrost control board that acts like a defrost timer. it keeps track of how long it takes the freezer to defrost and schedules the time between defrost cycles accordingly (to save electricity). old defrost timers would go thru a defrost cycle every 12 hours whether it needed it or not. so i would suspect that this control board may be malfunctioning. the control board is item # 1036287 at repairclinic.com. you will need a repair technician to test it and make sure it is bad before spending $75 on it.

Frigidaire the refridgerator is not cold enough. It stays at 60 degrees, I don't know the model because it was torn off inside the fridge and the owner's manual did not come with the house when we bought...

Have one similar and found out the compressor goes out on them about a year and half after purchase. You can buy another compressor but the likely hood of it going out again is likely. Sorry but we bought bad fridges. Never again will I buy a Fridgidaire.
