Squealing oven When my oven starts to cool it makes a terrible squealing sound, it does not seem to be the fan as this is not turning and if I switch the fan on the squealing continues.

There is a separate casing fan hidden out of sight and this is what is squealing.
take oven out, remove top and back panel and you can see the casing fan. try wd40

My oven turns itself off when on fan forced when I put temperature to 225 why I am left with stuff in oven no fan it comes back on after round 10 mins

Pls be more specific with make and model to get a better answer. But it sounds like it can be a problem with your safety thermostat that is set lower then 225 and that couse the oven to switch off and when it cools down to the temperature that the safty stat is set on the oven will reset and start working agian

My AEG B3191-4 oven works for about 30 mins, then seems to cut out... it won't work at all until it has cooled down, and then the cycle starts again... can you tell me which part is likely to need...

Your cooling fan may not be working. either the fan is faulty or its controling device is not switching it on it also allows the fan to run on after the oven has been turned off. its located in the wiring loom behind the switches. part 899661926761-1 costs £26

Oven blown up??? Is it a simple fuse or is it a big job???

sound like fuction switch has blown apart quite common and the noise is prob coming from cooling fan and not the main one inside.

COOLING FAN DOES NOT STOP AFTER HOURS

Hi I am Vortash the cooling fan must be controlled by a thermostat , it appears that it has a problem on it and is not shutting off .
They are usually normally open contact switches that are on the top or the side of the oven ,they heat up close the connection and turn the fan on . yours sounds as if it is sticking . Other ovens are controlled by a rheostat a long tubed thermostat that goes to a main control consul on the oven , it controls the fan and responds to what the stat tells it .
It may be this controller is not turning the fan off afterwards , my suggestion is that unless you are electrically trained you get the help of a service engineer to check your oven out .... regards Vortash

I have a Competence B1180, it cuts out after irregular periods of time, although sometimes it may even complete a cooking cycle, if turned off for 10-15min it will re-start, but invariably cuts out again...

Could be caused by either of following;

1. Faulty thermostat.
2. Faulty thermal cut out switch. (controls power to cooling fan).
3. Faulty cooling fan (not fan inside oven).

Test thermostat by setting thermostat to low temperature like 60 oC. If oven gets much hotter then its a faulty thermostat.
To test cooling fan and thermal switch take oven out and remove top or rear panels to expose components.
When oven gets hot the cooling fan should turn on. If it doesn't then check to see if there is a mains voltage present.
If mains current exist but fan is not turnig then replace fan. If mains voltage is not present then its the thermal switch.

Oven makes a noise when I turn it on.

If it is a fan assisted oven , then it sounds like a noisy oven fan.
It could be a worn or dry bearing in the fan motor. if you open the oven door , you should be able to tell if it is the fan by listening to it carefully.
The other possibility is if it has a cooling fan in the back or on the top of the oven, it could also be that causing the prob, these are about the only things that could be making a noise, as there are no other moving parts that could make a noise.
PLz rate my solution.

Thanks.

Bosch HBN 455 Oven Cooling-Fan Issue

After the oven is switched off, the after-run of the cooling fan is controlled by an electromechanical thermostat switch. The fan can switch back on, due to residual oven heat that accumulates within the oven's outer case and reactivates the cooling fan temperature switch. Considering yours is making buzzing sounds and activates on and off, the fan's thermal switch may have dirty contacts or just be defective and require replacement.

Oven heats up then switches off

there is an overheat stat in the oven which turns it off if overheating. the causes are several. 1 - oven thermostat is faulty and oven is reachingf too high a temp. 2 - there is a second fan in the casing to keep the casing cool. 3 - this second fan is turned on by a fan start stat which may be faulty and is not starting the cooling fan 4 - the overheat stat itself is faulty. it is a bit difficult to narrow it down from afar. get back to me if you want
