The door is closed on my HP laserjet 3055. But the printer is reporting door open

    Great.....no tab is broken off and a simple "faulty" ANYTHING on a printer barely a year old is POOR QUALITY STUFF!! SHAME HP!! This is my last one...and you can bet this is gonna get blogged!!

Probably a 'tab' on the door is broken off, or the sensor it interacts with (to determine if the door is open or closed) is faulty

"take back off HP 3055 all in one printer"


Sounds like a paper jam happened and it wants you to reset the sensor by opening the back of the printer, wait 10 seconds, and close it firmly by don't "smash" it back closed. If it still reports that error the rear door sensor is probably bad.

How do i install a new cartridge

Toner cartridge replacement for HP LaserJet 3055.

Press the cartridge-door release to open the print-cartridge door.

Remove the print cartridge from its packaging, and then rock the cartridge gently five or six times.

Bend the plastic tab at the end of the cartridge.

Pull the tab until all of the sealing tape is removed from the cartridge.

Hold the print cartridge by the handle and insert it into the all-in-one and then close the print cartridge door.

Paper jammed in fuser


Pull the toner cartridge out and leave the door open to relieve the pressure on the rollers.
Grasp the paper close to the fuser and pull gently and steady.

Check the IP of the printer, it should be manually assigned, if you are not confirmed,
  1. Press menu/enter .
  2. Use the or the > button to select Reports , and then press menu/enter .
  3. Use the or the > button to select Config report , and then pressmenu/enter .
  4. The printer exits the menu settings and prints the report.

Try re installing the printer software from the cd, or download the full version from the links below for your area

HP 1410 says there is no paper but there is, now it will not photocopy


open the cartridge door and take out the toner cartridge and the paper as well, turn the printer without the cartidge or the paper and with the door open,
after 1 minute turn it back on and wait for it to ask you for the cartridge and the paper, then close the door and should solve the problem.

  • Clear the jammed media from ADF (HP LaserJet 3050, 3050z).
  1. Open the ADF cover plate. c01075161.gif
  2. Remove any jammed media with care.Take out the page gently. NOTE: Take care not to tear the paper. c01075162.gif
  3. Close the ADF cover plate.
  • Clear the jammed media from ADF (HP LaserJet 3390, 3392, 3052 and 3055).
  1. Open the ADF cover plate. NOTE: Check whether all packaging straps inside the ADF are removed. c01075163.gif

''No Cartridge'' Error


check if the cartridge is a hp cartridge
if no use a hp cartridge
if issue stll occurs
open the cartridge door
remove the cartridge and the papers from the tray
close the cartridge door and turn off the printer
then turn on then printer
you will get a msg install black cartridge
open the cartridge door and put the cartridge inside and the papers in the tray and close the cartridge door
the printer will intiallize and you will get a ready msg on the display of the printer.
if you still get the msg have the printer serviced
