Question about HP DeskJet 1280 InkJet Printer

Printer when i turn the printer on it goes but it automatically off. can you please give solution or some advice?

Please check the removable panel located at the back make sure it is tighly pushed, and the knob is lock

Printer goes off and never powers back automatically


Check the wakeup settings on the printer. Some were shipped with sleep mode on, but all all wakeup events disabled.

Printer is not printing


Please follow the following steps.

1) Turn off the printer.

2) Shutdown the PC to which the printer is connected.

3) Remove the USB/Serial cable through which the printer is connected to the PC and reconnect it back.

4) Now switch ON the PC(only PC and not the printer)

5) Let the PC boot up and login to windows.

6) Now switch on the printer, PC should detect the printer automatically now.
Now you will be able to print.

HOW DO I MAKE THE PAGE ADVANCE AUTOMATICALLY TO THE POSITION I NEED IT TO BE TO TEAR OFF ?


Setting Top of Form, Forms Tear-Off ON

(Step A)

! If you turn the platen knob when the printer is turned

on, you will cause the Top of Form to mis-align. Always

turn the printer off before turning the platen knob!




1 Turn the printer ON.

2 Park the paper.

3 With paper out of the unit, (red alarm light should be on)

press SHIFT (1) and QUIET/TOF (5) to reset the current

Top of Form.

4 Press FF/LOAD (3) to load the paper.

5 Press SEL/MENU (6) to take the printer off line.

The SEL light goes out.

6 Wait until the paper moves up to the tear position, then

press and hold TEAR (4).

The paper moves to the current Top of Form.

Keep pressing and holding TEAR.
7 Press and hold SHIFT and release TEAR.

When both lights on the printer are illuminated it means the printer is at the end of it's usable life, you can reset this counter with software. EpsonIPRutilty

Hi,

A 50 Service error is a fuser error. Turn the printer off for 5 to 10 minutes, then turn it back on. If the error is still there, I think your going to need to make a service call you can try reseating the fuser, but be sure to let the fuser cool completely before touching it.
Good Luck the HP Laserjet 4p is a great printer.

the problem of the printer is when you turn-on the printer it automatically print...then the paper goes inside the printer and when it goes out there is nothing been printed out....what should I do....my printer is F380..thanks

Advice me


the SP motor brake signal didn't switch on within 3 seconds after turning printer on.

check for disconnected SP motor-related connectors. the printer needs servicing.
