Question about Washing Machines

Open Question

Electrolux W355H won't wash, error 08E

Machine starts in normal way, rinses powder from fist tray, starts cycle, but as soon as cycle 2 supposed to be started, machine stops with error 08E- "increase in water temperature is is below parameter set". Powder still remains in tray 2 dry .
What should I check first?

PS: When selecting modes in manual, e.g. "pre-wash", "main wash", "rinse"- everything works OK. Error appears on the screen on automatic mode at the moment when program has to jump to another step of cycle. Seems to be program error?

SOURCE: which of the 3 dispensers

You can read the manual here.

In short page 15 describes the chambers as follows:

  • The chamber marked "I" is the prewash detergent.
  • The chamber marked "II" is the main wash detergent.
  • The chamber marked with a flower like icon is the fabric softener.
Page 14 describes how to prepare for your first wash by running it without clothes for the very first time to remove water left inside from the factory during testing. Do not skip this important step! You only have to do this once.

I hope this helps & good luck! Please rate my reply. Thank you.

CHECK TO MAKE SURE BOTH HOT AND COLD WATER ARE WORKING.IF IT TRIES TO FILL WITH COLD WATER LIKE FOR A RINSE CYCLE AND NO WATER COMES IN, IT WILL SHUT DOWN. THIS MAY ALSO EXPLAIN THE POWDER NOT DISPENSING.WHERE THE HOSES CONNECT TO THE BACK OF THE MACHINE THERE IS SCREENS YOU CAN CLEAN.GOOD LUCK!

My Haier HW-C1460TVE-U washing m/c keeps giving (CLrF) ERROR Code

Anyway, my machine shows an error code "clrf". I just spoke to someone at Comet, and apparently this means there is too much foam in the machine. The machine will then refill with water and try to rinse it out, but if after that the machine still has too much foam in, then it will stop the cycle. Hence why my clothes are still wet (although I'd not realised they weren't rinsed properly either!).

I have not been using excessive amounts of washing powder, and usually use powder tablets or the liquid tablet sort, so they are a set amount and I don't do anything daft like stick 6 tablets in! I find it ridiculous that this would cause a problem with the washing machine, as I've used them perfectly fine with other washing machines.

Anyway, the advice from Comet was to keep trying different washing powders until i find one that foams less.

Put washing powder in tray ,machine doing wash but leaving large residue of powder

Don't put the powder in the tray. Select you wash cycle, let the water run into the washing machine, then add the powder. The powder should dissolve before you put your clothes inside the machine. Let the washing machine fill up to almost half way and add clothes. This should stop the clothes from getting the residue powder on it.

Washing machine starts by itself

going through to the next wash not na normal function, perhaps the machine is advancing to an extra rinse cycle?? this EXTRA RINSE will start after the normal wash is complete, i would check your dial settings perhaps some one has mistaknely switched extra rinse "ON". if htis os not tyhe case the n i would jave to blame a faulty timer mechanism and you would need to replace the timer

The washer stops before the rinse cysle

That sounds like your lid switch. This switch is located on the top. Raise the lid, Looking down at the washing machine it is the little hole. If you push it down with your finger on mine it's grey in color. The problem is that the switch is not getting pushed down far enough. if you pull it down manually with your hand a little farther you should hear it click over and the machine might scare you as it starts up into the rinse cycle. You can purchase them pretty cheap online at any applince site.
