Question about GPX ML848B Digital Media Player
After I loaded files into the GPX ML848B MP3 player, I disconnected it from the computer and it displayed the main menu but the buttons were non responsive. The only one working is the "PLAY/PAUSE" button, so I can turn it off and on but I can not navigate through the menus or select anything. I know there's a key lock using the "VOL" button so I tried pressing and holding the "VOL" button as the manual said but there is no change in the display to indicate if the key lock is activated or not and the buttons were still non responsive. I also tried to find if there's a way to reset the unit but I did not find anything in the manual or the web. I will appreciate any help with this issue.
I had the same problem with my gpx ml848b. After about 2 months of it sitting in my office I decided tonight to take it apart and fiddle with it. I took out all the screws to get the insides out and lifted the circuit board from the screen. I blew really hard in side between the screen and the circuit board. and to my surprise when I flipped it over( with it still dismembered) the screen became responsive again. All I can guess is something inside was not allowing contact between the circuit board and the buttons.....but this fixed it. Good Luck.

I have the same unit and I am returning it for a replacement for $35.(not under warranty) They were very helpful. Less than half the original price. Mine was doing the same thing. I actually think it's a bad battery. Mine would work for a few minutes after being charged.
